Zac,

Could you resign Carl Crawford and L Smith? Just as long as they aren't completely ridiculous, overpaying is ok.

Thanks

Hayes: Crawford, signed at $4,000,000 for 4 years.
Smith, signed at $4,500,000 for 4 years.

Castor: Padilla signed at $6,000,000 for 3 years (he initially requested 8.7 for 3)
Buck signed at $11,000,000 for 5 years (he initially requested $13,500,000 for 5)

I'm going to initialize the new season tomorrow night, so anyone else had best get offers in before then.

No, it's just fixing to start. That is why Zac asked if anyone needed to sign (re-sign) anybody because once he initializes the new season, you would have to bid on Leo and Carl with everyone else.... and I would have bid on Leo, too...

Zac, has Chris realized that staying in La is the best viable option for him?

Zachary, I need to sign Ben Christiansen. Try to get him for somewhere around his current salary ($7.5) but I'll spend what it takes to keep him.

I'd also like to sign my backup 3B/SS, Lance Montanez. I don't want to pay much for him though. If he costs more than 2 million, he isn't worth it. In fact, I'd like to get him for about half of that.

DV - Both want offers.

Dean - "You had your chance!"

Mr. Vandal - Renfroe signed at $2,000,000 per year for 3 years; Perez must have been extended by the computer before you took over, because he also has a $2,000,000 for 3 extension signed.

Samuel - "Headhunter" Christensen was a hardass. Signed at $10 million for 4 years. :/ Montanez asked for 2.61 for 3. Fortunately, he took $1,500,000 for 3 years.

By the way, if any of you don't like contracts that are left to my discretion, just tell me... all I can do is release them into free agency and give you back any cash that the game takes away, but at least you're not stuck with the extension I gave them.

Zac sir, you are a saint. And when I say a saint, I mean a person who rolled over and let Ben stick it to the Cubs where the sun doesn't shine. Did he threaten to throw at you while you were on the on-deck circle?

Thanks for resigning him though! I needed to keep him. Knowing my fellow owners, Ben would have probably gotten 15 million per in free agency.

All Ben did was get pissed at two prior offers (something like 7.5 and 9), and I didn't want to annoy him to the point where he'd never talk to you again and not resign. He has the same arguing techniques as a chick - "Give me what I want or I'll never talk to you again." :)

C'mon, give me some props for getting Montanez under 2 million! Hehe...
