Beltran is an amazing talent, but I don't think he's one of the top 5 young talents in the game. I'de also have to rank Oswalt over Beckett at this point.
Beltran is one of the top five young talents in the game FOR SURE. Very few players bring all the tools to their game as Beltran. That's why somebody is going to pay him 18 million per after this year.

It's debatable, I think. He's great defensively, has power, and speed, but doesn't hit for enough average to be considered top 5. I'de personally rather have Prior, Santanna, Vlad, Oswalt, Lidge, Pujols, or Beckett. Shrug.
