Which reminds me, you know how seemingly all girls these days seem to only get tatoos on their lower back or ankle of either tribal, a butterfly, or asian characters? Some one told me last night that when girls walk in to tatoo shops and ask for the chinese characters that mean 'tranquility' or 'peace' or 'beauty' or something equally overdone, that unless they research it themselves, the tat artist will often either improvise or do a symbol that actually means 'promiscuity' or 'headcase' or something along those lines. The girls, not knowing chinese or much else for that matter, think its what they wanted and are none the wiser. I thought this was pretty funny.

I'm not a tatoo guy myself, but anyone here have anything interesting/funny?

I went to Beijing in '96. While there we went to the Great Wall. We bought one of those round, pointy, chineese hats. It had 3 characters woven into the design of the wicker/straw hat. At some point we started thinking that it probably said "Stupid""American""Tourist." But we asked our guide and was assured that it said "Great Wall""Beijing""China"
