That was an awesome game! I remember my favorite part of that game was when your opponent hit a home run to dead center field they had the launch pad to try to rob it. Many countless hours on that game and on Baseball Stars.
I think this is disrespectful to Baseball. Maybe if it was done OUTSIDE the Astrodome, it would be OK. See, this is how WARS start. Sports are ceremonies to be taken seriously. I mean, what is this, a church? Spoiler Meh, that's all I got, folks in the Hangout.
Baseball Stars was good before its time. That game was awesome, and the manager mode was badass, with all the different players you could sign and the negotiating process and everything. I loved that game. In Base Wars, if you equipped the flying UFO thing with the sword, he was pretty much indestructible. The only thing that MIGHT have been able to defeat it was the tank with the machine gun. But even then, the UFO could just float over the bullets and land right on top of the tank. BEST GAME EVER!! I still remember getting pissed whenever the damn motorcycle thing would roll around and end up missing a fly ball.
Baseball Stars really was ahead of it's time. I remember spending countless hours to get several players on my team that cost the highest amount. I think it was 9,999,999. Anyway I had several of those and then I let a friend borrow the game. He had to do the blow on the cartridge and bounce it up and down in the nin to get it to work. By the time it got back to me my team of 9,999,999 players was erased. Saddest day of my young gaming career.
