Damn, I've lived in Houston mostly since 1984 and have seen all the places for nitelife. By now, I rarely go out much but tonite it was a nite out on the town with my good friend away from his girlfriend he lives with. If you can ad to my small list, PLEASE do. Sherlocks-It was still early but already had much potential aroun 9-ish. I'd go back. Cecils-I'm bored lets go...shoulda known, damn Cecils Bronx Bar-Was great last summer but it was DEAD tonite. Baker St. Bar or something like that?-just across the street from Bronx Bar and oddly enough it was hoping mad with girlies! In groups too and actually friendly and talkative and single! WOW! This was the hit of the nite and I'm going back! Feel free to share your knowledge of this area.
I was at Bronx Bar on Tuesday night. That place is still as uptight as it was when I left Houston. I never really liked it then and still don't really care for that place. I used to like Senoritas(next door to The Gingerbread Man), but the rumor is a girl was raped there and they closed the place down. Kinda freaky. Woodies over on Richmond can be a good place to scope out some trim when it's busy which is usually around the holidays because the schools are out.
