OT played well over twice as many games as a Rocket, won a ring here, and no one ever questioned his dedication or work ethic. Barkley helped us beat the Sonics.

    This shouldn't be close.

Whoever seeded that bracket is really dumb. For real.

Ok.. maybe not actually dumb, but I still disagree with his choices for seeding.

Barkley had the better individual overall career, but if you are talking about who was better during their time just as a Rocket then I would easily choose Thorpe.

Barkley might have been past his prime but I watched him put the team on his back a few times. By himself. Thorpe couldn't do that.

There was a reason we were like 21-2 with the best record in the league.

Y'all just hate Barkley and it's cool to love on Thorpe.

Who the hell carried the team when Hakeem got hurt in '91? Who averaged 21/12 on 57% shooting over a 25 game stretch?

More importantly, Barkley basically had ONE season here where he was capable of playing at the level, and he was always in and out of the lineup. OT had his prime years in Houston and missed 10 games in 6+ years.

    Idiotic, untrue, and insulting.

Thorpe fit much better with Hakeem. Barkley occupied the same space on the court as Hakeem and they had to take turn posting up. Thorpe didn't need the ball. He just did what were needed for him very well.

You know what was better than 21-2? When they went 22-1 with Thorpe a couple seasons before. And won a championship.

OT, of course! I'll always have a fond spot in my heart for Charles due to the man picking up Shaq and slamming him to the floor, something I'm so glad I got to see. But OT? He was amazing for the Rockets and a key to our first championship, and arguably our second, since he was moved for Clyde. Had the biggest hands I've ever seen. Could throw a basketball like it was a orange. I would have been devastated had we moved him for anyone else.

Barkley was a soft taco. Thorpe was a hard taco.

OT but man I was a big fan of barkley in his rocket days. He played hard even though he was passed his prime. Came at pippen when he quit on the rockets.
