Man he is on a roll tonight. From tyra banks stuff, to his usual ragging on kenny ("the only thing you and kobe have in common is you're both black") and everything. Then they are talking to shaq and he says "there's all the conspiracies they tried to put in the zone to stop you, way to shove it up their asses." Now I don't usually condone commending shaq on anything, but that was classic. You could tell ernie was shocked he said that. Anyway, just wanted to praise Charles for lightening up the horrible feeling of this loss. If this is a hangout thread then sorry.
F4p, Nah great tale, nothing light a Barkley story to break up the immature over-reacting that goes on after a loss. When will they realise one play doesn't make the game!! Smeg
I liked how the Inside the NBA gang didn't even mention the rockets. All they said was, "lookie there, the lakers are still undefeated." blah, blah, blah. Rockets put up the biggest challenge the Lakers have seen all season and those people dont say a damn thing about them. Our guys played their hearts out, and all they have to say is, "No one has a chance against the lakers...blah, blah." Dont get me wrong, I love that show as much as the next guy, but i just wish they would give us some credit.
I almost started a thread on this. It's funny to me that Barkley is always praising Shaq. I thought that he didn't like him because of that skirmish he had with him in his last season here.
Oh...but one play does make the game. It's the play that gets a team up, or keeps a team down. Physical errors are excusible...mental ones, time and time again become habitual. When the lights come on, you have to have your head in the game, and you must "folkas".
That's true. One play does make a game. It's just that the play must be during a close game in the fourth quarter with about 2 minutes left or overtime. One play can make a game, but one game doesn't really make a season in the NBA. 82 games is a loong time.
