well, i hate the fakers and their fans even more now. i registered and had typed out my post then hit the post button only to receive this message.

"You have been banned from this forum. Contact the system administrator if you have any questions."

    my user names were:
    beatla2004
    fakerslose2004

never even got to post. anyone else have any luck posting there? i assume they banned me based on my user names. i might try to register with different names tommorrow on a different computer. here's what my post was gonna say...

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subject: Stop whining about the refs

The Pistons are much quicker than the Lakers. As a result the Lakers are playing defense with their hands since they are not fast enough to keep up with the faster Pistons team. The Pistons are quicker at every single position except the shooting guard spot.

Also, the Pistons are taking it to the hoop far more than the Lakers. Who has been taking it to the hoop on the Lakers other than Shaq? Look at the Pistons every single one of their starters have been aggressive in taking it to the hoop.

You guys are nuts if you believe that nba would conspire for the Pistons to win and let alone win in a short series. The Lakers sell way more merchandise than the Pistons and a short series is horrible from a financial standpoint.

If you guys tried viewing the games objectively, you'd expect the Pistons to be getting to the line more often. Point blank the Lakers are being outplayed at every aspect of the game. The Pistons have been the much better team so far.

Why did you sign up there if you don't like the Lakers?

why not? to have a good argument. what's the point in having a message board if there's agreement?

Couldn't you just go a bar and pick a fight with the bouncer?

look... if somebody came in here and signed up as rocketssuck they will get banned too. what's about it don't you understand. you have to respect that each team has their own fans and these fans have their own pride about the team... why troll on a board about a team you hate?

Dude, while the Lakers do suck, it's not good to troll.

While the post itself is a bit inciting, it isn't trolling either. I'd recommend not using a troll's name, for one, and make your first post more respectful -- and then tear into them with your later replies.

I had a little fun posting on lakersground as well. I didn't talk smack or anything, just did my best to dispute many of their skewed viewpoints about flopping, or officiating. Then i left my browser open, and my friend posted an inflammatory message (anti Kobe) under my name, and I was banned immediately. Oh well, that site was too frustrating anyway.

Why didn't you just choose a user name like Ko-b**** or KobeLuvsWhiteWomen?

I would've banned you, too. You should have just chosen a better handle, then phrased your points (good ones, by the way) in a way that isn't like tossing grenades.

Again, I need to change my handle.

    Something like "MuncoSucksMonkeyBallz2004" would work.

They've been asking moderators on their board to ban new posters. Amazing. They are so paranoid over there, completely convinced that the NBA is out to get them. But I agree with the other posters, that name is just BEGGING to be banned. That's basically a troll name, and the post doesn't make it any better.

i probably should of changed the handle. half the fun of message boards is engaging in arguments. it's part of sports. i don't see anything wrong with someone coming into a message board and starting an argument. no different than a red sox fan going to yankees game wearing his red sox cap. he's got a right to root for his team and wear the red sox cap but he should also be prepared to be heckled and possibly shot. just like i feel i should be able to go to the lakers forum and argue against the lakers fan and i'm sure they'll make some arguments and hurl some insults. to me it's all part of it. :)

    I'm not a Laker fan, I'm a basketball fan.

Would you ever go to a Yankees game in a Red Sox cap?

You have a right, to be sure, but others would have the right to beat the shyte out of you for yelling some unfortunate phrase that rhymed with 'Yankees' ('Fake-ees?') at a game.

Talk about basketball. Tell others what you love about this game, what keeps you watching and what you hope will happen in the future.

Don't be a got-dayum idiot. Treat the game and its fans with respect.

    One more thing, quoting you:

"he's got a right to root for his team."

    Are you a Pistons fan?
