LOL, Tracy McGrady is 6. Wish it was that same McGrady we were getting for Francis, Mobley, and Cato.

Maybe that was their payback for what we did to them in 94-95. :D

was just chuckling at the fact that dream's career high in blocks was 4.6/gm while his career average was 3.1/gm. LOL. the contemporary raves for dwight howard alone make the case for hakeem olajuwon as the most underappreciated superstar in NBA history. i've become a bit of a broken record with these.

Don't forget Dream put up massive steal numbers for a big man.
I think one of Nash's years should be somewhere on that list. His assists combined with his overall shooting %'s warrant something. Maybe 10th over Howard.

I love Hakeem and am not saying that Howard is in the same galaxy, but it should be noted that one has to take into account pacing - the 89-90 rockets averaged about 101 possessions per 48 min (5th in the league), the 08-09 Magic averaged 92 (actually good for 12th highest in the league)

this was more a statistical list, and the list was pretty legit. kobe's PER in his 05-06 season was 28, wihch is great, but pales in comparisons to tracy's, lebron's, or wade's seasons, which all exceeded 30+.

lebron's season last year was one of the best ever statistically. but i

I like PER because it is just about the most objective stat that allows us to evaluate a player based purely on his performance and efficiency. With that in mind, the most dominant PER season I have ever seen since MJ was definitely Lebron this past year. Lebron's all around dominance at the age of 24 was just about the most ridiculous thing I have seen a single player do in all my years watching basketball. To me it is not even debatable anymore that the two most productive and efficient players in the league are 1) Lebron and 2) Wade. People can argue about Kobe being the best, and there is something to be said for intangibles, but Lebron and Wade are statistically 1 and 2 as best players in the league, even more so because they are guards. About the only criticism I have of PER is that it probably gives big men a slight statistical advantage over guards. But to me that just highlights how individually brilliant Lebron and Wade are.

One only takes into account stats.
