It seems we are finally finding the balance we have been looking for the last few seasons. Our Center (Yao) leading the team in FG% / Blks and Rebounds Our SF (TMac) leading the team in PPG and FT Attempts Our PG (Rafer) leading the team in assists Our SG (DWes) leading team in 3pt FG% Funny how our best FT shooter is Yao but thats besides the point.. Im finally seeing our roster come together and playing the way a good team plays. I think Rafer will definately put our team over the top from being a good team to being a contender. Having someone other that Tmac handle the ball has more intangible benefits than we can see. I hope we continue on this great trend and heat up enough to make the playoffs and upset the 1st seed Dallas and serve up some payback. J
You forgot Bogans for his defense, offense, streaking fastbreaks, hard fouls, and hustle, which has sent Rybo with no offense to the bench. Ryan Bowen was killing us every game. We are 5-1 with Bogans playing.
agree, agree, agree! playing better, playing as a team, ball moving well, dumb turnovers decreasing, not melting down the last 6 minutes but toughing it out. Bogans looks like he might be little bit of a Sura with some toughness. Yao showing some signs of learning some things from Hakeem's playbook. Expecting some good continuing improvement during March. Just waiting for Tmac to get back on rhythm. Go Rockets!!
T-Mac really needs to get untracked, his 3 point shot has been awful. We haven't shown that we can match up with the run and shoot teams like Dallas and the Suns so I don't know about going deep in the playoffs. We can start tomorrow in making some noise, slow down the Suns and grind out a win and we will go a long way in establishing this teams identity.
yes right now we have the biggest problem being that T-mac is shooting horribly. As soon as he gets back on track, we will be able to stop the run and gun teams too.
Tmac also has been unable/reluctant to go to the rim. The Rox need Tracy to go to the rim, he's much more dangerous if the other team has to defend his drive and his pull up.
we are 5-1 because of our schedule. however, he makes us that much tougher of a team. look at how he changes the game for us when he is in (instead of having bowen in). we get out on more breaks. he is good at attacking the rim. he can hit a jumper. a nice fit to round out the rotation.
As the title of this thread mentioned, Balance! That's why Wesley and Rafer are mentioned above. Bogans is another part of the team that has contributed. Playing Bogans instead of Ryan Bowen makes us a much more balanced team. Opposing teams would double off Bowen and dare him to shoot.
