It look like Bagwell is getting out of his slump. He is 2-3 with a 3 run homer and a 2 run double. It's nice to see him hitting the ball again . ------------------ The Highest Leapers in the NBA
And now he is 2-4 with 5 RBI. He was 2-2 with 5 RBI. It looks like he is back in his slump. ------------------
Its a good things they were able to hold that lead they had. Oh wait . . . Damn the Cubs, they won't lose, we have to win just to keep pace. ------------------ Don't ask, I lost a bet.
Make it 3-5 with 7 RBI's. ------------------ Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Profiles, rankings, mock drafts, and more! The Mo Taylor Fan Site
Then he drove in two more runs to give him 7 RBI's for the game. The Royal's pitching staff, otherwise known as Slump-Be-Gone. ------------------ Don't ask, I lost a bet.
It would be nice if Bagwell and Hidalgo can get out (and stay out) of their respective slumps. Also, Redding had a poor outing. ------------------
Astros are on a great roll. But will the ****en CUBS lose a game? ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
Redding doesn't quit have the curve that ROY does. He may still be a year away from being effective, but he is a good power 5. When we move to a 4 man rotation late in the season, our bullpen will be stacked. Wagner Jackson Dotel Cruz Redding Also, would like to get Leiter for Elarton, Mckinght, or Naninni, any two. A four man rotation down the stretch of Miller, Reynolds, Leiter, and Oswalt would be sick, with one of these guys going to the bullpen in the playoffs. It would be a "veteran" pitcher, but Carlos Hernadez will be ready to pitch out of the bullpen by next year, and start after that. If you compare the same age stats with Redding and Oswalt, no questions, CH kicks their butt. ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" do you think we should have brought redding up this soon or given him some tiem at AAA? glad to see bags have a good night.. maybe this could be the start of a good second half [This message has been edited by Rocket Fan (edited July 07, 2001).]
I think its good to have and see Redding here now,..let's face it the team needs to rely on the younger pitchers! ------------------ Rarely is the question asked: Guns kill squirrels than REDRUM to fools across the nation?
BAGWELL 1-1 WITH A 3 RUN HOMER! I guess he is out of his slump! ------------------ The Highest Leapers in the NBA
Pretty funny though, the guy is slumping and he's got like 20 hr's and 70 rbi at the all star break.... ------------------ humble, but hungry.
what?? Redding has the best curve on the staff, already! He's not the most complete pitcher..but he's the best curveball pitcher we've had since Kile. the bagwell bashers on sports radio are killing me. the guy goes into a slump and we throw out completely the fact he's had the best career of an Astros position player ever. this guy IS the astros to the rest of the country. he's a huge part of their identity. not to mention, a good guy. mcgwire is in a huge slump right now...i'm just guessing that cards fans aren't calling sports radio talking about how he needs to be traded. i'll be so glad when enron field has had its long term effect and we get some wiser fans here in houston! ------------------ [This message has been edited by MadMax (edited July 08, 2001).]
