I was thinking to myself what are the bad sections of major cities, you know the ones where crime and poverty are high. Here are the cities that I know:

Memphis, TN : Frasier, North Memphis

    St.Louis, MO: East St. Louis

    Little Rock: Southwest Little Rock

Los Angeles: South Central, Compton, Watts

    Chicago: Southside

    New Orleans: 3rd, 5th, and 9th wards

    Which do you know?

    Pasadena: The entire city.

    Take that, East St. Louis!

It's the baddest part of town.

I hear that if you go down there, you better just beware of man named Leroy Brown.

    North Philadelphia is pretty poverty-stricken.

I'm sure he meant the latter, which is still technically a suburb of St. Louis, I'm sure.

I meant East St. Louis in Illinois, which is part of the St. Louis metroplex just like West Memphis, AR is part of the Memphis metroplex. If you know any other bad sections of St. Louis please list them.

Yes I used to take MARTA from the airport to downtown, and noticed some seedy areas as well as some interesting people boarding the train...

MARTA is probably the world's worst mass transit system. The area around Turner Field is pretty crappy as well.

Not to derail the topic, but are you a Braves fan? What baseball games are broadcast in your neck of the woods?

Since I live in GA, I've grown to like the Braves even though they are a bunch of chokers. I still follow the Stro's, just not as much as I once did. I remember going to games with my Grandfather in the Astrodome, back when they had those awful rainbow unis. Yeeech! Even then, they were gaudy.
