Yep its true. I lost my job today 9-11-02. Kinda ironic I guess. Anyone need a hard working employee in Austin? I will work for cheap cheap cheap...... My company was nice enough to give me a 2 month severence package, but it still doesnt change the fact that I have to find a job now.... FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU**********KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!
I know the feeling dude. I was laid off on 4/10/2002...and I'm still looking. It's starting to drive my wife up the wall. Good luck in your search.
Welcome to the club. I was laid off on 2/8/2002... and like Refman, still searching... I don't have a wife, but I'm sure my TV is getting tired of being powered on 24 hours a day.
We could make a club out of it. Anybody else feel like wearing a wifebeater and drinking beer all day? LOL
Sort of like Ross's hypothetical "Divorced Man's Club" on Friends? He said it would have a basketball court for them to play on. I wouldn't mind something like that!
Yup...we could have air hockey and shuffleboard too. Kind of like the Boy's Club...you know...keep us kids off the streets.
Air Hockey??? Can I be in your club too?! I LOVE air hockey!! I'm not unemployed per se...but I am very lazy and surly. Isn't that close enough?
I think our motto should be to keep us kids off the couch! or maybe off the computer! at least in my case it should be! Mrs. JB... like Augusta, we're not taking any "new members" at the moment.
Dang is finding a job really that hard right now. My girlfriend just took a job like two months ago. They are paying her absolutely crap, but its better then nothing I guess. Good luck to all you guys.
I hope I'm never unemployed. Its like a fear of mine. Anyway good luck to you fellas. Just play Halo and get baked a lot.
I'm in the hangout for 12 hours a day (or night)...and I get PAID to be here!!! Hahahaha!!! I'm not really laughing at anyone's misfortune....jus trying to be funny.
You are married to one of the admins...ummm...yeah you're in. Without this BBS my unemployment would be unbearable...I'm not gonna tempt fate by not allowing an admin's wife into our club. I must add that while at A&M I played tournament air hockey. heh heh heh
Well it looks like Mrs. JB's shortlived boycott of the air hockey sponsors worked... Welcome aboard ma'am!
I think my problem is that I'm a specialized professional. There aren't that many jobs for a relatively unexperienced lawyer right now. I am starting to see more postings that I qualify for...so things may be looking up.
I've got the Halo part down. I just thought I'd hang around here and wait for one of the admins to quit. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I haven't lost a job recently, but I graduated in May and still haven't found a permanent position. The market is slow flooded with newly laid off workers, no one is looking for young new-grads who don't have any experience when they can pay a guy with 5 years experience just as much as they would pay me.
