Bad luck or bad defense?

Discussion in 'Houston Rockets: Game Action & Roster Moves' started by dakeem1, Nov 14, 2013.

?

What was the reason for our recent suprise losses?

  1. Bad luck - Oppenents have been lucky from 3pt. No need to worry, we will win more.

  2. Bad defense - our peremeter D is causing opponents to shoot well. We need to worry and work harder.

Our recent losses have happened against incredibly hot shooting teams. We have given up so many 3-pointers.

    What do you guys think?

A bit of both. We've been getting killed by these last second 3s. The Anderson and Gay ones were even pretty well-defended.

Those last 2 three pointers were pretty bad luck. Our defensive rotations need lots of work, but we have had what? One practice to work out the kinks?

Bad defense and/or bad luck. Bad defense for the open 3s but some tough 3s were also falling against us as well.

Where is the option for 'a bit of both?'

It has been a mixture of bad defence & bad luck. The Steve Blake shot was bad defence, the Anderson shot yesterday was bad luck.

    bad defense
if they play better defense in the first 40 min
there is no last possession for them to shoot the 3 to tie the game

Bad Defense/Offense led to those game tying three opportunities. Bad luck caused those to fall.
