Who do you think should backup Brooks now that Skip is out?

Luther Head - Healthy and ready to go. Knows the offense well but is not near being a PG. Good shooter. Not a good ball handler and sometimes make questionable passes.

Steve Francis - The Great Unknown. Does he still have it? Most think he's done but only time will tell. Not in basketball shape but has been working hard to come back. Not a true PG by any means, but is still a better ball handler than Head. Strenght in attacking the basket.

My choice would be Stevie. The only way to get into basketball shape is to play in actual games. There's no better time than now to work him in. Its early so this would be the time to work a player into the rotation. Although my choice is Steve, I think Rick is going with Head. Despite what the fans say, the coaches really like the guy.

Luther does not possess the ability to dribble the ball, Francis probably has lost a lot of athleticism and speed.

Knowing Adelman, Head will play backup, with Brooks heavily used.

I take Francis over Head any day of the week. Whats the worst thats going to happen...we lose another game! But knowing coach Aldeman....he likes Head, so he will get all the time.

Francis by a landslide, he at least knows how to attack. Head = Shoot, shoot more, and clank more

ide like to see 20 mins from stevie to see what hes got, let brooks play the remainder, maybe a few mins here and there from head or barry. If stevie still has something balance the minutes better between whos hitting their shot brooks or francis.

Brooks should play the majority of the minutes since francis is not in game-shape. But this is Steve's time

Stevie should start, he became quite unselfish last season and was reliable with the ball. Also more explosive on offense, etc.

Brooks should play back up like always, I've seen enough of him as a starter. Not meaning to bash him but he's by no means a play maker. Then there is Head, keep him a third string pg...just terrible when running the offense.

hmmmm, lets think who people are going to choose on this board.

Of course most people are going to pick SF, but when it comes down to it, he may not be ready. If he is ready, then yes he will play and be the pg, but if he isnt, its going to be Head.

I still cannot find an official statement saying how bad Skip's injury is and/or how long he may be out, if at all. Anybody have any links/quotes?

Think we are screwed either way.

This is like choosing between lethal injection and the firing squad.

At least if it were Rafer firing, he'd probably miss. ;)

I'd prefer Stevie over Luther any day, but I don't think he's even ready to play yet. Otherwise, he'd already be practicing regularly with the team.

If Stevie isn't ready for what's coming, then rest him.

But when it comes to PG position,If he isn't ready to be back, then let Tracy run the offense.

Luther who?no way he should get a fair go at running the offense for teh rockets
