I watched some highlights after seeing his crazy block yesterday against CP3. That kid got hops! What you guys think about this kid? Still badly needs to add strength. Haven't seen enough of him to draw any conclusions, but it seems like he's still figuring out how to defend the perimeter. I think he has the ball-handling and shooting ability to stick at SF though, which I like. Don't think his feel for the game is as good as Mike Dunleavy's was. He'll take some time. Should have a bright future though.
I'd say he's more athletic than Budinger. Budinger isn't as athletic as people think. He's just exceptional vertically and ok everywhere else. Looks like Hayward has great timing and instincts. Smart player, good size at his spot and speed for that size. I'd like to see how he'd do in a larger role. Right now he's sitting back and picking his spots, since he's behind "better" players.
His a lot better than what I thought he was going to be. I still don't think he was the BPA at the 8th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. But he is a good young talent, with great upside. Could be the long term replacement for AK47 in Utah.

Hayward has a brighter future than Bud because he has a better head on his shoulders. I expect him to take a big step next season now that he's had a chance to gauge himself for a year. I can see why Sam Presti of OKC wanted him so badly.
solid player. I don't think his hops are insane or anything--i mean he's jumping like most other guys in the NBA on those blocks. Just has great instincts and timing...and he tries..
I don't think he's better or going to be better than Budinger. I think he'll become a decent role player, but taking him ninth was a big-time reach.
Another Great White Hope for Utah? I'd like to think it is all a coincidence, but they're too predictable.
Block against raptors = goaltending! Ball was on the way down if you look at the other angle at the 30 sec mark
He's better than Bud. Bud only has vert over him. Gordon is quicker and a better defender, slasher, ball-handler.
