Wow. They were looking pretty good vs Warriors. Kaurse's master championship plan might not be so far off.

yeah they are showing signs of getting better. chandler is becoming a blocking and rebounding machine. i still don't like curry that much though.

Curry is a true center, which is RARE in this league. Don't be surprised if the kid becomes an all-star in a couple of years.

Chandler is an energy guy at this point and unless he finds his offense he'll remain that. He's probably better off as a center than a forward.

    Please.

The Warriors play no defense, and the Bulls rarely win a game on the road.

It'll be another 5 years or so before hte Bulls are decent.

Give credit where is due. It's not just this particular game. Those 2 guys do pretty well for some time now.

Imagine if they manage to draft a top 3 pick for upcoming draft.

    Starting lineup:
    Williams
    James/Anthony
    Rose
    Chandler
    Curry

    Bench: Fizer, Marshall, Robinson, Crawford

Consider the lack of quality teams and big men in the East, I say this is probably good enough for playoffs next year. Hey even Gooden manages 20/10 over there.

Role players would be nice. They would be exactly what the Clippers are.

On paper talent is only half the ingredient needed to be good.

I also refuse to give credit to a team who can only win home games.

The Bulls offense would be VERY stagnant if they had that starting 5. Moreover, the would lack anyone who plays defense, or can shoot from outside.

There are too many flaws that I foresee to be on the Bulls bandwagon.

Are you talking about Houston Rockets? ;)

Anyway I still admire Krause to a certain extent. It took bravery and vision to trade a player like Brand for a highschooler like Chandler and draft another highschooler Eddy "baby Shaq" Curry. I like the thinking that you compete with very good; you win with great. If it fails, it fails. But if it pans out, you immediately talk about championships chances, not just merely playoffs chances.

Atleast Chandler and Curry are showing more signs of potential currently than our Eddie...

The Warriors have not been slouches lately. If the season started in February, they'd be way ahead of the Rockets.

Also, I don't think it's fair to compare the Bulls to the Clippers because -- though they don't have a golden reputation -- the Bulls organization actually cares about winning.

The Bulls won because of one man. They didn't have that aura before or since. If not for Jordan, they would be the Clippers of the midwest.

And that same management team who put those Bulls teams together, traded away Elton Brand for some high schoolers. Could you imagine what he would do in the East.

The Warriors are 11-19 on the road, the Bulls are 19-11 at home. What a big win the Bulls pulled off at home.

The Brand for Chandler trade pretty much shoots down this theory.

The Bulls organization got cheap. They wanted to drastically pare down payroll for several years after the Jordan era, despite the money they were otherwise making.

The Bulls need to trade for a veteran and they'll be better. They won't be able to pay all their Baby Bulls when their extensions come due anyway.

And Jay Williams and Jamal Crawford should not be forced to co-exist when they aren't being played on the floor at the same time.

I think that the Rockets should make a run at Jamal Crawford this offseason. He wants out of Chicago badly and has been struggling getting playing time behind Jay Williasm. If we get Crawford, we can then move Steve to the 2 spot and bring Cat off the bench. Crawford has a lot of potentials and could develop into a very good player in the future.

Well, last night the Bulls benched Jay in favor of Crawford, who went on to get 15 points and 10 assists. They may be looking to keep him around.

I thought about this the other day as well. Per 48 minutes his assists and A/TO are right about Mooch's level--and better than Francis (especially A/TO). Crawford does have the size so that if you move Francis to the 2 you don't get too small of a back-court. Can Crawford play defense? His S/48 are similar to both Mooch and Steve--but that is a very limited indicator of defense.

If Crawford can play defense I would be tempted to offer close to a Mooch level contract for him and then try working on his shot. I think for this to happen either Mooch or Mobley would have had to be part of a trade--there really isn't room for Francis, Mobley, Crawford and Mooch IMO (not to mention Posey can play the 2).

I'm just glad the Bulls beat the Warriors. The Rockets needed that lost from them. To keep them back from the last spot to make the playoffs.

The difference between the Bulls and Clippers is that Bulls are willing to pay (witness the 60m or so they paid for MJ years ago). I don't think Clippers ever did many bad trades. They've a lot of talented players. If they're willing to pay them, they've got a good team. So being a willing to pay Clippers is not too bad.

A Brand or a potential KG, who would you want?

As I said earlier, you compete with very good, you win with great. It's bravery more than stupidity IMO.

    Potential KG????

He's skinny, never went to college, and tall, that is all he has in common with KG.

He plays ZERO DEFENSE. Can't handle the ball. Can't shoot from 20 ft away. Can't pass. Other than that he's a KG clone.

Frankly, every post I see of yours just seems ludicrous. You seem to have some kind of fixation with young teams who aren't that good (the Warriors thread).
