Fatman510, you overrated Posey's bball IQ. He should know that his role is to play tough defense, get transition baskets or dunks or layups. But he jacked up as many unneccessary jumpers as Francis and Mobley. On defense, he also picked some stupid fouls from time to time. iOrange's rating is about right.

Iorange: I understand your logic, but you never know, he might have actually slept before those two games instead of partying and drinking. I didnt give him last place because of the last two games, namely b/c of that inbounds play when he threw it off shaw, that was just heads up.
If he shows me some more of the same, he will keep on rising, but for now, I'm sticking to him being second to last.

    hilarious kidrock.

my 2 cents: moochie is easily last, cat right above him. francis is in the top 4 i think, it's just hard to see because the ball is easily in his hands more than anybody else, so he naturally has more opportunities to make the most mistakes. i don't think steve's a dumb player.

Eddie Griffin is not one of your last two?
That guy is thick as a brick. Jacking up 300 footers on a regular basis, and having each and every one of them practically break the front of the rim since they are so hard. Doesnt know how to play offence in the low post, and doesnt know how to pass AT ALL. STUPIDEST PLAYER EVER. He will become better though, with some maturity.

I am sorry but Francis must be in bottom 5 for me. Those role players at least understand their athletic limits and play their roles accordingly. But Francis has all the athletic ability in the world yet he makes the game more difficult for himself than it really is. If this is not dumb, I don't know what is.

Well.... I ranked Moochie high cos he knows what he can do and he only does what he can do. For Francis, well... he forced too many things. He has to realize he's only 6'3" and most importantly, he has quite a few good players around him.

I like Mooch b/c he passes first, and moves without the ball. BUT when he does pass, they are not smart passes most of the time. ALSO the guy just doesnt stop dribbling. He dribbles for 15 seconds and then passes, leaving no time for the Rockets to run their offence. That is just stupid.

These b-ball IQ things are getting old. We just won a game, yet threads like these, obviously started to b**** about Cat and Francis, are still popping up. Besides, the only player on this team who could be a coach someday is Rice, so he is the only one with a high basketball IQ.

Oski: Do you mean that right now all we can say is complements about Francis' 2-7, 2 assists night?
The BBS is for discussing the Rockets you know, not for complementing them for each and everything they do immediately after a win, even if we have been playing .300 ball lately.

I wasn't trying to bash Steve or Cat. That's just what i had in mind.

I can make another ranking in terms of athelism and YaoMing, Moochie and Rice would be always at the bottom. You won't blame YaoMing for the lack of athelism, why would you take low Bball IQ as 'b**** about Cat and Francis'?

1 question: Can bball IQ be taught or improve with time and more experience?

If not, then we can't really Francis's/Mobley's natural-born dumbness. But at the same time we have to worry that our franchise are really in big trouble with so many low bball IQ players.

By all means, say what ever the hell you want. My only point is that you guys bash a player who is putting up similar numbers to players like Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson. It's one thing to say that Francis had a bad night and complain about that game or the last 2, though he is apparently hurt and was probably hurt during the Lakers game as well, but you guys are taking it further and saying that his play is all around pathetic. I only ask that you guys don't jump on the bandwagon when things are going great. Yeah this place is for talking about the Rockets, but people who come in with knee jerk opinions and demand trades every other night have really brought down the quality of this board and made it a pain in the ass to visit. In the future, Ming is bound to have a bad game or a bad stretch, and I'm pretty sure you guys aren't gonna demand for him to be traded. Again, you talk about the TEAM playing .300 ball lately, yet you don't seem to spread the criticism. If this team is losing, then the blame falls on all of the players.
