I would have LOVED to see the real GUNS N ROSES. I think they could still make some good music. But this.......... This is just Axl's solo band, and boy did they SUCK! His voice was bad, he got winded alot. He LOOKED bad. The BucketHead guy looked like a joke. No Slash, No G'N'F'R
I watched the entire show and I only counted two good things: Bruce Springsteen and the Hives. Is it just me, or is Jimmy Fallon not very funny?
well axl's voice was pretty bad and he ran out of breath in like 45 seconds but the rest of the band sounded good. buckethead atleast sounds like an excellent replacement for slash even if he looks like a freak.
Ok, I just watched it. Axl did run out of breath and had a hard time holding some notes. I'm sure it's hard to hit notes when you have to perform your song in pieces. Especially without practicing. Anyway, the rest of the band was right on though. The dueling leads at the end of Paradise City was amazing. I've heard them play duel leads for November Rain and it's mind-blowing. Besides, I know they are way better than that. As recently as last week they played in Hong Kong and it was ten times better. Axl shouldn't have accepted that gig on such a short notice. They did just play Docklands Arena in England on Monday. They arrived in New York TODAY. Anyway, I think the album and upcoming performances will show everyone what they are really made of. Did anyone notice that Axl had his AFD cross tattoo blacked out? Crazy. This was only Round 1.
Body by Shoney's. Home of the mile long breakfast buffet. Seriously, does anybody care about this idiot anymore? Isn't it time for him to finally fade away forever by sitting in his mansion, drinking 40 ouncers, and molesting 12 year old girls?
I hope the new album is better than "Oh My God". Actually, I think that was Round 1, and it wasn't too impressive. I wonder if that single fizzling had anything to do with the album taking so long to come out? I read that they subsequently played a more rock-version of that song in concert. Did they go back and change their sound for the album after that song tanked? I wonder. Expecially after Axl saying that a bunch of the songs on the album were written in the past year in that recent interview. coma, any thoughts? Anyway, I'm bummed that he's still going out as "Guns -n- Roses". Can you imagine Paul McCartney still touring and recording as The Beatles? Or Robert Plant as Led Zeppelin with only himself as the sole original member?
