His description by Clutch fits the Rockets' style. Great 3 pt. %. Great size at 6'11, 240. Anybody seen him play or heard anything else about him? Can he actually play? ------------------
I saw a lot of Dench in the NCAA tourney the last two years. This year he was pretty impressive. The announcers during the tourney called him a 7 footer, but 6'11" is no slouch either. The thing that I was impressed with was his versatility and soft touch around the hoop. He is strong as an ox, but put up some really nice looking one handers and floaters. He is a good shooter, and can play with his back to the basket or face up and shoot a nice looking set shot. I bet he makes an NBA roster somewhere soon. ------------------ HOOP-T ------------------

hoopjunkie, True, the numbers are not spectacular....but he was not the 1st, 2nd or even the 3rd option on a deep Gonzaga team. Santangelo, Calvary and Frahm were the go to guys on the offensive end. But Dench has good skills for a big guy and he is mobile. ------------------ HOOP-T ------------------
I seem to recall that the Rockets had him in for a private workout with an eye toward that second round pick. ------------------ There are 3 kinds of people: those who can count and those who can't.
He sounds pretty interesting. The Rockets really seem to be stockpiling big guys who can shoot the three. If Mobley leaves, I hope they can find somebody else who can penetrate along with Francis and take advantage of the spacing. Thx for the info. ------------------
