looks like the west conference is looking bright for the rockets next season. I think their are more fireworks to come in the offseason. think the mavs and suns pulled the plug of Avery Johnson and Mike D'Antoni. These two teams are screwed because they are getting rid of two good coaches.

Most people here thought our season was looking bright after we replaced JVG with Adelman. So, what is your point? The Mavs and Suns are screwed, because they mortgaged their future for naught. Plus, this is being discussed in NBA dish. Plus, NOLA and Utah are only going to get better, making the West more difficult. Plus, Portland is going to improve next year, making the West more difficult.
D'Antoni isn't going to get fired but EPSN said he is walking becuase he thinks management is not taking his side on any issues or somthing like that.
i think i jump the gun to early..........my bad i was excited.......and the future is looking bright for us.........who in the world can replace avery and mike......come the mavs and suns are screwed. trust me.
What if Avery goes to the Suns and D'Antoni goes to Dallas. Then we are screwed again,,,,future not looking so bright?
I don't think this helps the Rockets. Both of those teams already screwed themselves when they mortgaged their future by giving up Marion & Harris respectively for washed up, over-paid vets. They aren't even on my radar anymore. New Orleans, Los Angeles, Utah, and Portland are the teams that are going to keep the Western Conference tough. It's also hard to ever count the Spurs out. And I figure at least one of the teams on the decline (Suns, Mavs, Nuggets, Warriors, Kings) will figure something out and improve. Hell, even the Sonics (or whatever the hell they'll be called in OKC) could be murder in a year or two if they add a guy like Derrick Rose.
i blame it all on the spurs. haha. so many teams are getting screwed up because of the spurs being good. it's like that hot chick who moves into your neighbourhood and messes up everyones marriage. either phoenix or dallas shouldnt have done that trade. i mean sometimes you have to wait your turn. dallas had it's chance in the finals..and they could have went somewhere last year also. so this year should have see what they could have done with the same squad.
doesn't matter, mavs and suns are both flashes in regular season and nothing in the playoffs. Only way they can win it all is if the 2 teams merge into 1
I don't know what you're getting at with the Adelman thing, but yeah, as the Mavepricks, Sperms, and Sunflowers exit stage left, the Fakers, Whorenets, and FailBlazers enter. ... The Rockets, meanwhile, will make them all look silly.
the OP seems to be making a statement that firing your coach = a dark season ahead my statement about Adelman is reminding him that most ppl on this bbs would disagree.
I never believed much in Avery Johnson. As for Mike, he's not a bad coach, but considering that talent he's had for the last few years, I would not be shocked if they wanted to change it up.
