The league average is up 2.1 percent from the 2003-04 season, according to the Team Marketing Report's annual study, which was released Tuesday. The New York Knicks, who were swept in the first round of the playoffs by New Jersey, raised ticket prices 10 percent and had the league's second-highest average ticket at $70.51. The league's lowest average ticket is for a Golden State Warriors' game at $27.69, a 5 percent increase. The expansion Charlotte Bobcats will be charging $36.61 per ticket. --------------------------- Wow....for an expansion team, that's a lot!
Charlotte is a basketball crazy town. The Hornets used to always be at the top of NBA attendance figures. The only reason they stopped going to Hornets games is because they lost faith in the ownership.
Average NBA Team - Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Hornets I'll pay an extra $7 for Yao and TMcG MrB
Who cares. I paid ten bucks for my nosebleed seat during the Lakers playoff series, and it rocked! Sure, I won't be sitting on the floor any time soon, but there are no bad seats in the Toyota Center as far as I'm concerned.
