Not sure what I want to see it in, suggestions? I typically dont like 3D movies, the glasses annoy me, but if it is so much better in 3D IMAX, I may be better off suffering.

Where is the option for regular 3D?? I saw it in 3D and it was pretty cool.

I just assume IMAX 3D is going to be better than regular 3D.

I guess this poll is going to just turn into 'what did you see it in' when i wanted more of 'was it worth it and if u saw it again, which would you see it in' lol

Isn't IMAX twice as expensive? Something else to take into account.

I saw the 3D version at Alamo Drafthouse and it was AWESOME! I heard the movie was shot in 4:3 or 3:4 (not sure which) so the IMAX actually has some of the movie cut off on the sides of the screen. Is there any truth to this??

The story is pretty cliched. If not for the wow big ass 3d imax screen I would have been disappointed.

    1. IMAX 3D is the best option
    2. Regular 3D
    3. 2D - don't even bother going.

It holds up very well in regular 3D, even though things don't pull out as well. But you have to see it once in IMAX.

The film is not just about the 3D though...but you do yourself a disservice not seeing it in all its glory.

There are digital 3d theaters that are not IMAX. I'm sure that is good too.

Why would you even consider seeing it in 2D when they offer 3D?

I saw it yesterday in DLP 3D..it was awesome.
Not really sure what IMAX would add..just that's it's on a big ass screen.
Unless the film was produced or shot in IMAX format..it's just a big letterboxed movie on a huge screen. The movie is anamorphic..not IMAX.

Dark Knight was worth it since a lot of the outdoor sceens were actually shot using IMAX cameras and therefore the entire IMAX screen was full...the other scenes were letterboxed.

not be a cack....but....is there really a point to this thread? You could have just asked in the other thread.

Anyway, if you don't mind paying $15, go IMAX3D. I recommend paying a few extra to reserve seating or just go really early b/c these things are still selling out and you do not want to be sitting in the first few rows.

the larger imax screen helps since 3D imaging inherently shrinks the image because you're combining images on the screen into one; on an imax screen, this shrinkage is less noticeable.

    i agree.

story was mediocre. if it wasnt for the cool graphics, it was an average movie. watch it in 3d/imax. watching in 2D would be like watching any old movie.
