Anybody interested? I for one love tennis, and im hoping for Roddick to have another break through major. His 5 set win over a 11th seeded Gonzales showed he has a great shot at getting past Chilic(same style) and making a semi final against Nadal or Murray(he has beaten both). It's fun to watch the guys compete out there.
After watching Cilic beat JMDP in 5 sets last round, I really don't see how Roddick can keep up with him. Cilic's ground game is way too good for Andy to handle. But it's all irrelevant anyway, since the winner is going to lose to Nadull.
I've been playing tennis for 8 years, so it gets boring... BUT this is why I still try to catch it whenever it comes on: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009_swimsuit/tennis/ Maria Kirilenko
I really get irritated with Mary Jo Fernandez and Mary Carillo. They continue to be real b****es to the Williams sisters. In years past, they would maintain that their lack of amateur play would prohibit them from achieving greatness. Now, it's everything for their athleticism to Serena's tirade that makes them snipe like the talentless haters that they are. Pam Shriver expressed her frustration with Carillos comments in Serena's match late last week. Carillo pointed out that even though Serena had been fined 90 thousand for her actions last year at the U.S. Open semis, the penalty should have been more severe. She implied that Roger Goodell would have suspended her. Shriver (the commentator who actually have a career) strongly objected contributing to a heated exchange.
I believe Roddick can beat the 14th ranked Cilic, the inexperience usually shows in big time matches in the majors. Federer plays who tonight?
Well, I agree with MC, SW should have been suspended. "Heat of the moment" frustration / anger / rage cannot be an acceptable excuse for that type of behavior -- impressionable viewers must understand there are significant consequences.
Yeah Federer is something like 17-3 against Hewitt all-time and this is a major. Obviously Hewitt has a chance but I'd be shocked if he won.
Federer will win easily. Davydenko may squeak out a set but he'll fail in big moments ultimately. 3 or 4 sets. Book it.
They weren't at majors and weren't 5-setters. Overall, Federer has owned him. Even if Davydenko wins this first set, Federer will ultimately roll over him in 4.
I wouldn't even be surprised if Federer turns this first set around despite being down 1-4 (15-15). Davydenko will choke under pressure before it's all said and done.
Yea, I may have overstated it but I do expect a couple of convincing sets from Federer. I'm not even a Federer fan. I just don't like Davydenko.
