Where do most people in Austin come from??? My guess is Houston and Dallas. Yet, I have lived here in Austin for 3 years and still the Rockets get pre-empted for the Stars or the Spurs! In my opinion the only people who care about the Spurs are the people in or from San Antonio. Noboby else in Texas really cares about them. Time for all Austinites to call, email the hell out of Time Warner and tell them that want to see more Rockets games!

Dude, it's not Time Warner's fault, it's the NBA. Time Warner Austin is not allowed, by NBA rules, to show any non-nationally televised game that doesn't involve the Spurs since they are the closest team to Austin.

For the Rocket Fans in Austin, how long have you lived here? Since some dumbass posted that they will show the Rockets Pre-Season Game on FoxSports, I actually tuned in.

If you have lived in austin for more than 1 year, you ought to know that they always advertise Rockets commericals on Fox Sports SW and that they NEVER WILL show them unless they play the SPURS.

Quit posting crap like the Rocket Games will be on TV in Austin, because THEY WON'T. If you live in Austin, and want to see the Rockets game, go to THE TAVERN on Lamar, they are big Rockets fans.

Gotta be newbies. I remember last year waiting for a Rockets preseason game. Fox SW had been hyping it for a couple of days. I was stunned to see The Last Word. I would have given anything to hear Bill and Calvin.

That's when a fellow Rockets fan told me to visit the original Clutch City. As you can see I registered in Oct 99.

If you live in Austin and want to see the Rockets games, you basically have to order NBA League Pass or go to The Tavern. This year, I chose to order League Pass because I dont care too much for the Tavern. My personal opinion is that League Pass is more than worth it. I ordered it on the Early Bird Special for $149 which comes to about $20 a month over the course of the NBA season.

I'm not from San Antonio, and I like the Spurs. I actually have to get the League Pass to see Spurs games (and Rockets games, too. We get the Mavs here. But I got the package so I could watch the Spurs).

The game was on a Fox Sports Alternate or something channel on Dish Network here in the DFW area, but it was blacked out. Jeff of saveourrockets.com fame mentioned it in the ClutchCity Chat chanel and I nearly wet my pants. But like I said, I quickly found out it was blacked out... *sigh*

The Tavern sucks. The best place, IMO, is Mr. Gattis by campus. All you can eat pizza, cheap beer, and the Rockets. What more can you ask for (except for Rolaids after)?

If you have DIRECTV & NBA League Pass, the fun begins on channel 720. This is on 24/7 during the season and displays all of the games and results and what channel that days games are on (721 thru 731).

720 also displays stats leaders and will replay classic NBA games.

League Pass is free for the first two weeks of the season (don't know if preseason is included) for all digital cable subscribers. In Round Rock (Time Warner) it's Channel 310 for NBA.comTV (digital cable) and 311-320 for the games. San Antonio games are listed, but blacked out on League Pass, but then I give you FoxSW (but you have to listen to the SA broadcast team).
