If we have people interested in getting together again, I say we kick around a date for the second meeting, that way we can give plenty of notice unlike last time. Few questions: Is Gattis set up again and ready to go? Do you prefer a weekend night? Schedule over the next few weeks. I've bolded a few I think would be good: 11/28: SAC 7:30 11/30: @ DEN 7:30 12/02: POR 7:30 (Saturday) 12/05: DAL 7:30 (Tuesday) 12/08: @ SAC 9:30 12/09: @ SEA 9:00 12/11: @ VAN 9:00 12/14: @ GS 9:30 12/16: DEN 7:30 12/19: SAS 7:30 (Tuesday, kind of close to Christmas) 12/21: LAL 7:30 (Thursday, even closer to Christmas but damn good game) 12/23: GS 7:30 12/26: @ SAS 7:00 Portland looks like our best bet (this Saturday), but I'm open to suggestions. We also should talk about meeting to go to a game in Houston or San Antonio... think that could be fun. I went and saw Jeff here at the City Wide Garage Sale in Austin yesterday and we talked about getting a large get together in Houston or going to a game. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
I say the 5th. I can't make it Saturday, UT v. SWT at The Drum. We should do it North this time. ------------------ "He was under more balls than a midget hooker."-Bobby Hill visit www.swirve.com and, http://www.geocities.com/clutch34_2000 for great Rocket insight by some of your fellow BBS posters!
I actually prefer during the week, I think. So I guess 12/5 is fine with me as well, unless anyone wants to do Denver this week. ------------------ "It's a great idea. A girl's name for a guy and lots of theatrics. I wish I'd thought of that." --Alice Cooper discussing Marilyn Manson
I'm fine with either the 2nd or the 5th. If we hold it much later that that, we'd lose anyone on the board who was a student and went home for the holidays. Heck, I'm headed back to Houston for a few weeks starting the 17th or so, so any day after that would count me out, too. I second the nomination for a north location, provided that people can make it up there OK. But I don't really know a great place to watch up north (I tend to go to D&B's but don't know about bringing a group there). ------------------ "Don't blame me. The 5th sounds really good to me also ,loving the "up north" idea. Say wasn't there somebody on the BBS before the season started that said they had like a screening room @ work or something? ------------------ C-son
OK the 5th it is... the Dallas game. Now we need a place up North... maybe Showplace Lanes. Suggestions? ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
The Show Palace...er....Showplace Lanes sounds good. This is assuming they turned their DTV back on (they were supposed to have done that I think we established). TV's everywhere...you can't really go wrong. We just have to make sure the Rockets get the volume. ------------------ "It's a great idea. A girl's name for a guy and lots of theatrics. Sorry to go out of the theme of the thread here but, Freak, I just read your signature and I'm still laughing. ------------------ Time for a new clause.

Showplace Lanes does in fact have the dish to show the games... just called. So, unless there are any objections, I say: <UL><a href="http://austin.citysearch.com/E/V/AUSTX/0005/02/84/cs1.html">Showplace Lanes</a> 9504 North IH 35 (at Highway 183) - <a href="http://austin.citysearch.com/page/gen?keywords=showplace+lanes&alt_keywords=showplace+lane&encoded_keywords=showplace+lane&sort=class%2Csearch_weight%2Cname&radius=5&areas_id =&postal_code=&freeform=1&_template=%2Fsearch%2Fresult_list.html">Map</a> tel: (512) 834-7733 Tuesday, December 5th at 7:15pm Rockets-Mavericks game[/list] Kagy and I both will be there. Just a quick "yeah/nay" would be cool so we can get a head count... thanks. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET

"yeah" If you've never been there, it's not actually the bowling alley where you watch the games, there's a sports bar that's attached to it. You can get there from in the bowling alley though. ------------------ "It's a great idea. A girl's name for a guy and lots of theatrics. Kagy and I are going to try to get there a little early... they said they should be showing the game but it's on a first come-first serve basis.... so can't hurt to get there, claim a spot and get the game turned on. Look forward to seeing everyone tonight... ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
