Wow. I always wanted to do that. Type a player's name followed by a few question marks. Anyways, I know there are some people on this board who are high on Jalen, but what about this guy? The few games I've seen him in he has been awesome. And a few of my friends claim he is one of the best players for the Pacers. What do you guys think of the Rocks trying to get him? He is going to be a FA this year and he plays SF. 6'9" He shoots 3s pretty damn good, HAS a post game, can handle the ball w/o dribbling it off his foot, and crashes the boards. AND his basketball hero is Don MacLean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ "Whooaa." - Ted
Been in the league a while??? NOT!!! He is in his third year. He will forever be the answer to the trivia question: Who was Larry Bird's first draft pick? Larry saw something in this kid, and it is starting to develop. I would love the Rocks to get him. ------------------ I took a course in speed waiting. Doesn't fit the offense??? Boy this offense is really clicking now, aint it? Jeez. We need SOMEONE who will do the dirty work, you know the stuff that wins championships. Its called D-E-F-E-N-S-E. We have one guy on the roster that plays D and that is Shandon. I don't care how good the offense is, you have to be able to stop the other team from scoring in order to win. ------------------ I took a course in speed waiting. If we could get him relatively cheap, then he could be a valuable asset to the Rocks. PhiSlammaJamma, if you want athletic, Austin Croshere is all that and more. He takes that protype of an unathletic, stick-to-the basics caucasian and throws it out the window. He may not be Vince Carter but this boy can dunk. I couldn't see him starting for Houston at PF, but he is versatile enough to be a SF. Azim da Dream ------------------ No guts, no glory, no brain, same story. I'm not sure, but I'm watching this Miami/Indiana game and Croshere's having a heck of a quarter. He just shoved a dunk down on PJ Brown and Alonzo Mourning that was nasty. ------------------ <this space for rent> [This message has been edited by Dr of Dunk (edited March 12, 2000).]
I was just about to post that. Did you see how aggressive he was? Nevermind he is pretty athletic and I wouldnt mind getting him.
Yeha I saw that game too. He took over the 4th quarter for awhile and dominated. 14 pts by hisself, pretty good. One word : Versatile. Doesn't even really seem like he's being fed the ball, he just lets it flow to him. I think it would be cool if the Rocks could get him - cheap. ------------------ "Whooaa." - Ted
BobFinn, I am full aware this is his third year in the league, but this is the first year he has played well and deserved PT. Geeze!
Criscokidd, Keep the faith. Here is hoping that Houston can pull another Shandon. Whatever happened with all that talk that came from that long thread Clutch posted about the mystery man. The one that we were all trying to guess who it was during the playoffs. From that thread it was appeared the Rockets were going to go full steam ahead after that free agent. I am wondering what the latest scoop is from those in the know regarding Austin's visit. ------------------ President of the Austin Croshere fan club.
