    Nugs4,

have seen the box scores for the rocky mountain review, but thought you might be able to add more

what's Matt Nielsen look like so far? any chance he makes the roster or even a training camp invite?

I was actually going to post something on this for you in a week or so. The Australian Nugs fan has been pulling for Nielsen pretty hard.

My impression from the summer league game I saw of him -- he DEFINATELY should get an invite to camp, and I think has a legitimate shot to make the team. I've heard that many have him as a SF, but in the game I watched, he played more like a PF. He was down low, banging and grabbing boards. Had some nice post moves as well. He's 6'8", so I'm assuming we're gonna use him more as a big, but this is where I wonder about him and maybe you could help, can he play the 3? Right now, we have no one to back up Melo and that could REALLY open up a spot for Nielsen. Barring any FA signings, the only other player who could fill that position from our summer league team is Melvin Sanders.

All in all though, Nielsen has really impressed me (hard worker, can rebound, plays D), but I haven't seen much. He should get a camp invite and, just IMO, has a shot at making the team.

BTW, since the Rockets traded Cat and you're now without a favorite player, we have room on the Nugs bandwagon for you Australians. :D

thanks for the recap Nugs4, let me know if you hear anything else

certainly here in Australia he is a PF, but has certainly improved a lot of aspects of his game including his mid range game... don't think he would be quick enough to guard opposition 3s and i he may be a bit undersized for a NBA PF.. but you never know, he certainly plays hard, can be a great scorer at times and rebounds pretty well

don't need a new team or new favourite player i can still support them both, not sure about Denver Bruins though :p i like the Nugs and have a Anthony jersey and am also a big KMart fan

Smeg, you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the hotels, I don't want you near my house. When you see our mother (clutchfans), I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there. You understand?

    ;) don't switch :D

Smeg, you might want to stay away from the boat.

Smeg, I only saw the first half of the game tonight (I taped it though -- had a basketball league game), but what I saw, once again he looked good. There was even an article in the paper today mentioning that he, Melvin Sanders and Koko Archibong (greatest. name. ever) all should make it to training camp.
