One of my favorite bands, Alien Ant Farm, is coming out with their new album on August 19th. For those that don't know, this is the band that covered Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal". They were kicking ass, but a car crash on tour left the lead singer damn near paralyzed. Thank God, he's ok, and htey're back out there. Anyone else excited about this? Also, a great article on their video. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1473285/06252003/alien_ant_farm.jhtml
Cool, I am. Their first album was great and wished that "Attitude" was released as a single. Even liked their songs on the Spiderman ("Bug Bytes") and American Pie 2 Soundtrack ("Good for a Women").
hey nugs, not sure if you live in houston, but like beginning of august, alien ant farm is playing engine room downtown. tix are only like 15 and usually the bands hang out afterwards
Nah, I live in Boulder, CO (about 30 min from Denver). Unfortunately, they're not heading this way on their tour.
They did release that as a single, and even had a video for it too... I'm somewhat of a fan of AAF, but, honestly, I can't see them ever having a big hit again after "Smooth Criminal."
i agree. i didn't think that i'd like them after "smooth criminal", but movies, was pretty good. the video had that foo fighters humor thing going on.
Personally, I dug "Attitude". It proved right then and there that this is a band with actual musicality in the genre compared to those that just thrash.
the ghostbusters part of the video is what sold me on movies. anyone else who used to love ghostbusters should check out the new show when it comes out. i guess its gonna be less cartoony. www.ghostbusters.net
