Been playing Halo but Just got COD4 a couple days ago. Let's just say I haven't played Halo 3 since I got COD4. Looks like I found a new game to kill time.
havent touched COD 4...have a few friends who picked it up, been playing that ever since. dont think i'm going to get COD 4, Assassins Creed comes out next week, getting that.
both are too different to compare but i'd easily pick halo 3 if i could only have one. i find it hard to enjoy any other fps multiplayer as much as halo.
Call of Duty 4 is INTENSE. But I do think that it's a bit easier than Halo. You just have to get used to the different control scheme. Call of Duty has a lot of nice tactical areas for snipers/gunners/etc. I like the level designs better on Call of Duty. Halo has a nice weapon system and gives you the ability to drive vehicles, which is something Call of Duty cannot say (No vehicles in Call of Duty) If you like straight gun fights where bullets fly all over the place and nice, tactical level designs...Call of Duty is second to none. But if you're into creative concept weapons and vehicular manslaughter...Halo is the one. also, graphics-wise...Call of Duty 4 is FAR superior.
Both really good games, but I have to give edge to COD4. The game is gold, addicting, good graphics, great sound, gameplay is good. I probaly won't be playing Halo for awhile, because of Call of Duty.
Don't have Halo 3, I have PS3, but COD4 is freaking awesome. I've been playing online nonstop. If anyone wants to play w/ me my name online is urmystlkal.
Would I enjoy COD4 if I'm not a FPS fan? Like Resistiance Fall of man for the PS3 but didn't finished because I just got tired of it. COD4 looks pretty awesome though
I thought Resistance was ok but just can't ever get into the whole FPS deal for some reason, think I'm too jittery. That being said I love games like Gears of War
well I'd have to hear why you like Gears of War so much, when it is a totally straightforward FPS (shooter, I know it's 3rd-person, but no difference) as well
it's all about perspective for me, 3rd person I can work with fine but for some reason I just never seem to get much joy from games with the disembodied hands and weapons
ok, well if that slightly pulled back 3rd-person perspective really makes the one big difference for you personally, then I might not recommend CoD 4 considering it is in standard 1st-person the whole time I was just wondering if there was some other reason you liked GoW, cause gameplay-wise it is your completely typical FPS/shooter
Yeah I know gameplay they are pretty similar, the 1st and 3rd person thing just always seems to bother me. I might pick up this game just to check it out, I've played through previous COD games
