aussie rocket has landed. Living in Pyrmont fellas - would love to have a beer and catch a game sometime...
Clutchies? Is that like puckbunnies? As a dude, I would not want to be referred to as a clutchie, no matter what part of the world I come from.
There are a handful of Aussie based Rocket fans on here. I can think of Smeg and Christopher off the top of my head.
What are your local viewing options for Rockets games? Presumably you have access to ESPN/TNT/NBA Network via satellite providers, are the local sports bars good about showing NBA games?
Yeah have satellite and local all sports channel (OneHD) which all up show 5-6 games a week - doesnt sound like much to you Yanks no doubt - but to us that's as good as its EVER been when it comes to level of NBA coverage.
There are more than a handful - they have been really coming out of the woodwork since Andersen - but there has always been a good contingent. Where I am living now, Sydney, I know for a fact to contain quite a few of them ... where I came from there was 3, including myself, one of the other 2 I knew personally (he was kinda my boss )
Oy Mate, I would be there but I've got to sharpen some dingos! Crikey! Aw well you filthy seppo bastards better not steal any of me FOSTERS!
Sydney here, I live out near Blacktown so it will be a fair trip into the city for me. I should get you up to speed on living in Sydney.... Don't rely on public transport and for the love of god don't vote for the Labor government in the next election, because they are stuffing this state up! Do not under any circumstances because a Sydney Roosters fan in the NRL. We'll have to discuss your choices for an NRL team because pick a good team and you'll enjoy it. Pick a bad team and you can find yourself heart broken every single year (Yeah...go Panthers.....). As for watching a game, I'm up for it. Its a fair trip into the city from where I live, mostly because of the terrible public transport system we have.
NRL man? Not interested, sorry. AFL FTW. Cannot stand Rugby mate, sorry. Public transport has served me nicely thus far - the Light rail goes straight past my house and the trains I have taken have gotten me there on time ...so far, so good. I will be working out at Liverpool so hour train ride each way. All good so far.
What is up with roadworks through the night though?? Right outside our apartment they have been working through the night on what seems like a pretty simple job every night since I've been here from about 11 - sunrise. What the hell? Starting to piss me off.
I will be in Sydney for 5 days at the end of December, including New Years. My wife and I are visiting on vacation. Any tips for where to go New Year's Eve? Catching a Rockets game while there could be a tough sell to the wife, though...
Does the beer come with a fondling "down under" in the restroom for free? <- I'm picturing moes calling that Eaustrealean phone sex line in SNL... "do right... oh, yeah... do right..." LOL!
