Just got back from the Austin show with Drewdog. Amazing show as always. If anyone has a tape of it let me know. Also if anyone has a tape of any of his other gigs on this tour (I'm especially interested in the Omaha show...I've heard great things), let me know on that as well. Drew and I were talking about getting a group together for the Philly, Tampa, and Atlanta shows. Let us know what you think about a road trip, or any clutch city dudes in that area, let us know. Maybe we can tailgate before or something. If interest is high, we were thinking about putting something together for his UK (5 shows) and Ireland shows. That would be cool to rock with some clutch city members across the pond. My goal is 10 shows this year. I think I'll have Drew beat if I can get to double digits. I'll try to rundown the setlist for tonight, if I can remember them all: It's Time to Party Take it Off Girls Own Love She is Beautiful Your Rules (new song) Ready to Die new song (don't remember name) We Want Fun Party til you Puke Tear it Up (new song) Party Hard I Get Wet Of course, please post setlists for any shows you attend on this tour. It was some dude's birthday tonight in the crowd so he got up and sang a few tunes with the AWK band. Keep us posted and of course, PARTY HARD!
I partied a little too hard last night. .....but not enough to puke. For old times sake, I ended up doing some crowd surfing and had my hand on W.K.'s shoe when he jumped into the crowd at the end of the show. One of the best mosh pits Ive been in in years - everyone was cool and not trying to beat the **** out of you. Great wholesome entertainment.
I would be interested in the Atlanta concert depending on when it will be (is it on a weekend?). Even though I met Drew (and absolutely said nothing to him, for the most part ), it would be great to see him again and of course, to finally meet that BBS champion of champions, TheFreak!!
Im not picking, I swear, but I thought this guy was a flash in the pan. He had 1 song that did good and dissapeard. I dont know, maybe he is from texas, or he is still popular there, but he has got maybe 3 weeks of radio play here in NY, and I almost forgot he existed. what a big country we have
I can. How long was the concert? It seems that all his songs are like 2-3 minutes. I could be completely wrong though.
yeah "Party Hard" was an aight song, and Ive heard the rest of the CD, wasnt too impressed, they all sounded the same to me.. didnt seem to be a band that would be worthy of a road trip, especially since they only have 1 CD right?
Nah. Alot of his songs are longer. Fun show...... 1/2 the damn crowd was on the stage for the last few songs - pretty cool. I moshed and surfed, and relived the glory days of my past when it was all about the Toadies pit.
Who is worthy of a road trip? Tool? We will never listen to your rules. Do what we like and we like what we do.
Drew was an animal out there! Come on! We need a 5+ page thread here! We have to rival the DMB fans. Who else is up for going to the UK? I need to see some setlists, people!
That's not going to happen. I just got back from San Francisco to see DMB. I've already driven to North Carolina once to see him. I'm either going to Nashville or Atlanta next month to see them. Andrew W.K. fans->all talk RM95->all action Seriously, when's he in Atlanta? I figure you're not being serious about a road trip, but if it's the same weekend that DMB's there, I'll go.
I thought about going to that DMB concert in Nashville, but I may be tied up with work stuff and/or school stuff. That is why I am hoping the Andrew W.K. stuff is on a weekend where I won't be tied up with those things.
I'll let you know if we end up going to that one, Manny. The last two shows have been hard to find any reserved seats...I have a request in to some guy, so I should know soon if I have tickets or not.
Andrew W.K. can't even dream of touching Tool's musical ability. and yes, Tool is worthy of following on the road Pearl Jam is worthy Rush is worthy
Sunday - September 14, 2003 - Atlanta, GA - Masquerade Drink a few beers and have a good time - PARTY.
Woo-hoo! I may have to go with that if you, RM95, and Freak come to it. RM95, I think you are talking about the DMB concert that is like on the 19th of September in Nashville. If I knew for sure that there would be someone I know going to it, then I would probably go to that one as well although I wouldn't know where to start with tickets. If you could get tickets to it, let me know because I would like to go barring anything coming up at the last second with work/school.
