I think we need to do this for the young team. The number of empty seats is appalling, especially now that it's the post-season. Our young players need the support to build confidence. There's no reason why we can't all be Rowdy Rockets. Let's show OKC fans that we can be more supportive than them!
The amount of people out in the heavy rain while it's flooded before the gates open were amazing! I do hate to see all the empty seats in the expensive section. Prices were crazy.
Fans did not give enough noise for the players from the start, we are probably the worst home court among all the playoff teams.
What are you guys talking about? I was at the game and that was the loudest I've ever heard it since we played the Lakers in '09, possibly louder. It was electric. This crowd was behind the team from the get go. Of course it does get a little hard to continue cheering at that pace when you're down 26 but for the most part every time we made a run the crowd was on their feet.
Fans looked great last night, TC was rocking. I'm just dissapointed people showed up late, but I understand because of the storm. I hope TC can be like this for years to come, and not just the playoffs.
I hope the fans and team will show up tomorrow night. It ain't over yet. Sure, it probably will be soon, but I'm sayin' there's a chance...
F THAT! It was as loud as it was going to get last night. Every time we got loud the Rockets threw some bonehead pass and it brought us back down. And missed F ING FT is unacceptable. There again on Monday.
standing up the entire game is a stupid demand. Why have seats in TC at all then? I love my team, but I'm no longer in college, so don't expect me to stand the entire game.
The rockets should give the upper bowl shirts. Seeing only lower bowl seats get them on tv makes the rockets look cheap
It took me three hours to get there from Pearland (10 miles) because of the flooding. Luckily I was planning on having dinner downtown and still being half an hour early so I only ended up missing the first three minutes of the game. Given the thousands of people stuck on the roads last night because of the high water, I was actually surprised that so many people made it. The atmosphere really changed in there when AB checked in. From that point on it was the loudest basketball game I've been to since the championship years.
When you tell people what they have to do with their hard earned money, it makes the experience not fun.. I suggest you let the people who attend these games be who they want to be.. Let them be/ not have to???
90% of the people that b**** about the crowds not being loud, aren't even at the game themselves... I've said it before and stand by that....
This is true. Look, the people that buy the tickets can do whatever they damn well please. If people don't want to show up on time, or don't want to cheer, that's their choice. When I watch the games, I focus on what's happening on the court, not what's happening in the stands.
so if someone wears a small olajuwon jersey to the game, you want them to wear a giant non-fitting XL shirt on over it?
Sellouts are determined by tickets sold...not by people in seats. All tickets for this game were sold. Getting to the game was a nightmare given the weather. I was impressed with the crowd last night. Had a blast at the game, result notwithstanding.
Actually, yes. It's a white-out. There's an effect on having the fans all unified, instead of worried about looking cute. My favorite NHL team does the same thing, and I really enjoy it.
