Another Dallas football thread, but this time...IT COUNTS! What slogan was that for? Oh yeah, the MLB all-star game.

Sorry, just rambling. Ok, this is the big season opener. Can Parcells bring this team around and change it into a playoff team, or do we suck too much for even him to help? And for ATL, can they cope with the loss of Vick? (I hope they learn how AFTER today so then I can see more of Vick in the playoffs...but AFTER TODAY).

Injury report for Dallas that I know of: Larry Allen had a hamstring problem last week but he practiced at the end of the week so he should play. AB should also play but may be used as the teams 3rd WR so that his quad won't be pushed too hard. I don't know if Pete Hunter will play, but everything I read has said that he is doing well and I would think he would play. Ross and Blade still out. Mitchell I think is out for the year. Stupid CB's getting injured. Had to make us cut Woody and now ATL has him.

This should be a good game to test the DAL offense. ATL was like 4th in sacks last year and like to blitz, so Quincy will have to recognize and adapt to certain things. We'll see if his decision making has really improved or teams just didn't care about him in preseason. Hambrick also needs to show that he can do the same and get some yards against a team that has been gameplanning for a week for him. On D, they don't have Vick but they got some other weapons. Have to make sure to cover Price and pass rush well...please...please have a pass rush.

Ok, that's about it, or at least all I can remember at this time.

I'm here and I'm ready to get beat or lay a beating. I prefer the latter. QC seems to have really matured. Our offensive line is playing better. Larry Allen may be back! We are a more disciplined team thanks to the Tuna. But, we have to keep being real. On the one hand, I think we could be quite good. On the other, I think we may be a deja vu of last year's team.

    Either way...I'm here.

It sucks that they play at 3. Hearing about all these other games is making me anxious. Though there is a chance I may wish that the game never starts in an hour or 2. Hopefully not.

Man, never really realized how much attention Parcells gets. I keep hearing stuff like, "When will they get to the Super Bowl?" I'm a big fan, but that's a pretty big thing to say. I'd be happy just making the playoffs. :D

    45 minutes to go!

Man, our D didn't look all that great. Well, at least we just held them to a FG. :(

    Hmm...now for the Offense.

edit: At least our special teams looks good...:(

I was wondering if I'd have to be like that one guy who had like all 30 posts in an Astros thread. Felt lonely.

I saw the Texans game. Nice job, Houston, with the squeaker. An interesting ballgame to say the least.

    Darren Woodson with the interception!

I'm a little worried about the couple of 3rd and 10+ to go situations we've had. We seem to be doing ok despite it, but that was a problem last year and it can come back to haunt us.

    OH GREAT. ANOTHER ONE!

Didn't think there was a worse starting QB than QC, then I saw the Falcons QB.

Haha...I was thinking the same thing. Evil Quincy is back. Uh oh.

But he gets to look forward to getting chewed out by Tuna.

I dont think any Cowboy fans have claimed Carter is starter material anyways.
