The Stros could use a sweep with St. Louis maybe losing 2 against Atlanta....but Colon vs Miller should be a good game.

This series could be the year...it is a great opportunity to move up a bit.

I'm thinking the Hou-StL matchups will be the year...if we could move to about 4 back this weekend, though, that would be great.

Living in Atlanta and being a huge Braves fan, I'll be sure to watch the game and tell everyone what I see.

I think we will take 2 out of 3 from Montreal.

Doesnt matter because they are going to strike anyways so the whole season is a wash. Why is everyone so oblivious to this? Its like baseball denial or something.

On Baseball Tonight they pointed out the comparative trade activity prior to the strike in 1994 to what's going on right now. There were really no big trades at all that season leading up to the strike and there have been some this year so they speculated that could mean that a strike isn't quite such a sure thing this time around. Made sense to me anyway because if the owners were certain of a strike they'd be less likely to take on payroll right now though I guess the prime trader this season in Montreal isn't taking on any payroll with these trades.

There have been many baseball experts that are saying that a strike will not happen.

Not if our bats don't wake up...Pete is pitching an excellent game but he gets no run support.

Man, can you guys remember the last time the Astros finished the year with no hitter over the .300 mark. If not for Lance no Astro would probably break the 30 dong mark either. Across the board everything is abysmal. If Doggie doesnt get out of this funk (I know hes been sitting) real fast and real hard, then I say we ship him for whatever decent proposal we get. Hell, Whats up with Ward's power. Does anyone have a decent explaination at all? Baggy and Bigg are having terrible years all around.

Im not crying especially since the team has been winning and putting together a good run, but how long will that last with numbers on O like these?
