Man I just bought some Air Shocks from Nike and they are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They are kinda pricey, but man they are really comfortable.

I LOVE my T-Mac 6's. They are pricey, but I got lucky because the checkout girl priced it as T-Mac 5's and I used one of those footlocker coupons. It ended up being $70 for a $130 pair of shoes. Still expensive in my books, but it's my first ever expensive pair of basketball shoes, and I'm loving it.

Nike Free running shoes...IMO the most comfortable running shoe ever made.

I got some Nike Shox, they cost me $210 Cdn, that's expensive for sneakers, should have gone to Buffalo done some shopping there instead.

They are really comfie.....probably the best I've ever had, but still not worth over 200.

i stay away from the air max and all those high end shoes. yes they are pretty and nice, but they just wear out way too fast. If i get a pair of nikes i stick with the plain/solid sole.

i've always had great luck with new balance. good price. solid shoe. durable, versatile, etc.

I agree on New Balance. They last a long time.

I'm in the market for a running shoe, because the cross trainers don't cut it.

Do yourself a favor and go buy a pair of Mizunos, Brooks, or Asics.

Nike Shox, Adidas Adiprene, etc are pure garbage. Especially for working out.

I manage a shoe store and even though I dont carry Asics, I will still say its true, they kill any running shoe Nike makes.
However if you are serious about exercise, I would recommend a different pair of shoes for running and training.
For training shoes I recommend Nike.
If you need any shoes basketball or training, feel free to email me at seriousheat@gmail.com. Im sure we can work a deal.

I run (when I do) in some Nike Shox trail running shoes that I bought on clearance. I work out and play basketball in New Balance Basketball shoes. New Balance are better made than any others, but I've never found a pair that support my arch well.

The best basketball shoes are the Jordan XX2s or the newest Lebrons.
Nike has so much money invested into the marketing campaign they are forced to make these the best basketball shoes on the planet.
I understand if your looking for something cheaper, but if you want the best, thats them. The technology that goes into them is superb.

I'd suggest British Knights, LA Gear lights or Keds.

I wear Puma running shoes. They aren't those extremely light shoes, but have some support. But they are still pretty nice to run with since it doesn't feel like its holding you down.

I wear Brooks. What I'd recommend is going to Luke's Locker or another specialty running store like that. When I went they had me walk around the store some and the guy recommended the best shoe based on the way my feet landed and what I was looking to do in them.

What is the best running shoe? I'm serious about training, but I never know which one is any good.

Actually what is the best running shoe, that has the best looks? Maybe a lower profile type shoe. Lower profile meaning like those Puma shoes.

I don't really like those Asics and other generic running shoes.
New Balance is ok, since they have those retro styles. Looking for something either in black or blue colour.

I have some Asics that rock...They are the weight training kind not the running one that I use everyday...I run a mile in them, but that's about it...

For Running, I only use Saucony...I love me feet to much to use anything else...

Cushioning could be better, but they support well and they are really well made.
