............my horn that is. My band just got hired to play at the March 30th home game. It might lead to playing all of the home games. Get paid to attend Rockets games....I guess I could live with that. wish us luck.
Cool. So you're playing at halftime? I'll be there. Remember to wear a big neon orange sign that says Clutchcity.net.
Actually, from what I have been told, we will take the stage where Ezra Charles and the Works used to play (floor area befind the seats behind the basket). I don't have all the details yet but I think we play before after and during the game (halftime, timeouts, that sort of thing).
great news. I'm excited. A band is what I've always wanted at Rockets games. Like real basketball. Get rid of the piped in stuff. It is stupid, sounds canned, and does not make me want to cheer. except that last song they play at the end when we win... Da da... da...YEAH! da da da da Da da... da...YEAH! da da da da Da da... da...YEAH! da da da da Can you play that one B-ball freak!
That's Rock and Roll Part 2 by Gary Glitter. Everyone who has played a basketball game has played that at least once. I think the band sounds great, I can't stand piped in music at sporting events. Anything they can do to get rid of the impersonal and corporate type stuff at the games is good in my book. It makes it much more fun and authentic.
