Mark my words, Curry will show up tonight
    (post #1)

Just a hunch. He may have gotten himself into a bad habit of only showing up when a challenge presents himself, and tonight one will show up in the name of Yao Ming. Curry played him very well in Houston last year. I think some of the criticism Curry has recieved is well deserved, however, I also have confidence that he will rise above that tonight to have a good game. But still, the bulls will probably lose tonight

I think Yao is going to have a field day with both of our young big men.

Yeah, Yao came to play this year. He's dominating everything in his path these days, and unlike our bigs in Chicago, the offense really does run through him.

I'll be shocked if Yao doesn't foul out both of our bigs in the first 4 minutes of the game.

How's Yao and Cato vs. Fizer and Marshall sound to you?

    Sounds like fun.

    Clinton

looks like you were wrong mate

Eddy definetely showed up tonight.. But apparently he left his game in his other bag..

    Curry...ugh..

Where the **** did he show up at??
    Chucky Cheese?

It's sad when our homer announcers are taking shots at Curry. Kerr said Eddy was shaking in his shoes in the first quarter going against Yao. Just what we need, a 6'11 290 lb pannsy manning the middle. When Eddy went on the roll fouling Rockets and fianlly fouled out, Tom Doerr said, "Eddy wanted out of the game", implying that the only reason Eddy was fouling was to get to the bench. When you have Tom Doerr and Johnny Kerr getting after you, you must be playing awful ball.

    He sure showed up........to be Yao's bit(h.

Eddy is softer then a melting ice cream.

With all of the talk about Eddy Curry lacking courage and heart, I thought about Bryan Cox's famous outburst when he played for the Bears. He was screaming about some of the Bears needing to see the Wizard to get some heart. Tom Boerwinkle#1 posted a picture of the Cowardly Lion in the game thread. Can someone photoshop Eddy's face onto the Cowardly Lion? That might become my new avator, if possible.

    LOL!!! :D

Eddy's being called a pansy by his home town fans as well?
What's the NBA coming to these days, filled with pansy centers left and right frolicking around like girls? Although Eddy really tried to contain his fear tonight, we all saw how he couldn't quite maintain his continence. And so he fouled himself out of the game as an act of mercy to himself. :D

It's pretty obvious that Yao is heads and shoulders above all the other post players he's played so far this year.... no pun intended.

Curry, Chandler will be good, but not this year.

    Yao vs. Zoe

    Zactly!

OT, as much as I miss hearing Bill and Calvin, last night it seemed as though the Bulls announcers were hired to do Rockets games. They are a far stretch from the Celtics and Grizzlies announcers.

As much as everyone of those Bulls fans is whining, I know they're thankful to have Curry. Hell I wish we had him instead of EG, but oh well.

Curry will make great strides this season and in a big-man weak Eastern Conference he will be an impact player, especially teamed with Tyson Chandler.

Curry's going to be fine. He's got tools but just don't know how to use them. The guy called Tyson really has big problems. Being in the league for 2+ years...the only way he scores is putback..Hey, even our Eddie can shoot threes:D

I still believe that Eddy Curry will still be good and consistently reliable but time is and isn't on his side.

Now that Chandler guy is something else. His energy level and rebounding ability is something I really admire. I wish Eddie Griffin and Yao had the same kind of rebounding ferociousness in them (hopefully they will master it soon).

Eddy Curry is a solid C. He had a bad game, and he probably wanted out when he fouled out. He wasn't ready for Yao, but he wasn't shaking in his shoes.

If Chicago were dumb enough to trade Curry for Griffin, hell, the Rockets' 3-for-1 trade on draft night would look like a steal by the Rockets.

I saw him play against Shaq in a game last season and he did something that Yao couldn't -- he shut Shaq down. In 37 minutes, Shaq shot 3-11, collected 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 13 points. In 27 minutes, Curry shot 8-13, pulled down 6 boards, and scored 20 points.

But if they were both up for grabs, I'd rather have Tyson Chandler than Eddy Curry.

Are you kidding me? Tyson may not be an offensive threat, but he can put down 12 points a game easily. Not bad given the fact that he will probably average around 12-13 rebounds a game by the end of the season.

Man I think you are completely wrong about Tyson. He really looks like he is turning into a monster. I would love to have him on our team.
