gosh... how many dunks we're there tonight? reminded me of Phi Slamma Jamma...

anyways, all i have to say is, THANK GOD WE HAVE RUDY! compare these two teams... they're about the same in talent, some would even say the Clippers has more. the difference between these two teams are the coaches. we have a coach that knows how to assemble a team and teach players how to win and play basketball.

Lets not forget the people behind the coach the folks that do lot's of the dirty work ..'
The assistants , no one ever mentions them I truly believe we have some great guys working behind the scenes ,AWSOME staff !
As far as our players , they are young and willing to learn , today 36 assists today , that is a good game by the youngins today.

  3. Not to bust anyones bubble here, because it was a great team effort out there, but since when does a win over the Mighty Clipps constitute anyone a great coach. Sorry, but that had me in stitches for about 3 mins. [IMG]

Seriously lets not forget that this was the clipps, not the Lakers.

On another note, please please let me see more Francis as the catalyst for this team. I mean more shots, more plays, more creating, more of everything. This kid is going to be a better all around player than Iverson and Maurbury. I think only Kobe (and possibly Lamar) could be the only other young guys who will rival Francis in all around greatness.

come on dreamshake, why don't you give credit where credit is due?

the Clippers aren't great, but neither are the Rockets... all I'm saying is that talent wise, houston and the clippers are about the same. but we won that game because the Rockets out-coached them. the coaches taught the team how to play better team defense and drew up and called better offensive plays.

Does that mean last year when the Rox lost to the Clipps, their coach was just awesome? How about the losses to the mavs. After each of the wins was Don Nelson a genius. And that was while they were beating a decent Rox team.

Assuming Ill agree with you and the team D was awesome, and the play calling was great. I will say that Its a blue moon between games where the Rox have great D, and great play calling.

I didn't want to turn this into a Rudy bashing, but Ill give you this stat, as testimony of Rudy's "greatness"

When the Rockets are trailing going into the fourth quarter, they are 0-16. You'd think that a truely great coach, with outstanding Defensive sets, and great playcalling could win....maybe one game when trailing.

Come on guy , be a little bit more positive than this , I have seen many of your previous posts before and that I can recall I have never seen you being so negative , a W is a W no matter what team , at the end of the season the only thing reflected will be one more w on the winning columm so let's think of it that way ! Yes , it was the lowly Clips but the way we beat them was the impressive part of the whole thing, not only that , this guys are NBA players not no chumps from the street , you do have to have some sort of skills to make it in the NBA u know ? :)

  7. 3pointer...Well if it wasn't for two bum knees playing football, and catching for 10 years, maybe then...... [IMG]

Actually, my mood was quite light after the win. I didn't take anything away from Rudy, or the Rox after the win. I just found it a bit funny that all it took was a win over the clipps for a Rudy Supporter (and I don't mean that as a slight at all) to claim his greatness. Furthermore, in my second post, I strictly was using fact to support my case.

No slight was meant. I just have a contradicting opinion. There should be no problem with that should there? It was meant to further a discussion.
