    Brooks
    Lowry
    Martin
    Ariza
    Battier
    Budinger
    Hill
    Yao
    Taylor
    Scola
    Patterson

And that's not even counting serviceable guys like Hayes/Jeffries/Andersen.

Is it bad to have players getting no PT that would warrant minutes on other teams? Are there other teams in this situation? Is that an efficient use of talent?

I get the idea of stockpiling assets, but at some point you have to cash in. Problem is, it doesn't seem like there is anything on the market worth getting, unless guys like CP3/Granger are available.

Jfeeries and Andersen are good trade assets plus the NY pick.

I can see a good 10 man rotation for the regular season, especially considering Yao's health. Taylor, Andersen, Jeffries and Hayes are the odd men out but quality like this is great incase of injury.

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Bud
    Ariza/Battier
    Scola/PP
    Yao/Hill

Come playoff time that should shrink to 8 with players depending on matchups.

That's very true, this roster is built to withstand injuries.

Morey will petition the league to make NBA games 60 minutes long instead of 48 using some fancy graphs and numbers saying that it will increase revenue from TV contracts, commercials, and concessions.

This will allow the Rockets to have 60 total extra minutes to divvy between their young players.

Also, since the Rockets are one of the deepest teams in the league, we will simply be able to wear every other team in the league out and win 60+ games.

Short bench adelman means some of these guys (Patterson is one) aren't going to play.

Patterson will play, Taylor will not play and neither will jeffries or anderson, i would be surprised if they are still on team by the start of season or come trade deadline.

The Rockets are the best team in the NBA down the stretch. We will dominate the 5th quarter!!!

Scola is not going to want to go to NJ IMO. Even if he is paid, they aren't going to be winning until at least next year.

I just think Rick Adelman will have to increase his 8 man rotation to 10, in order to accommodate all this high end talent...

    Regular Rotation:
    Brooks | Lowry
Martin | Taylor (his been really impressive)
    Ariza | Budinger
    Scola | Patterson
    Yao | Hill

situational players: Shane Battier, Chuck Hayes, David Andersen, and Jerad Jeffries. This players would receive playing time in situations were our regular rotational players are in foul trouble, injured, etc. and also could be use in certain favorable match-ups.

Certainly is a good problem to have.

Have to say, RB is pretty much right but I think if Battier is on the team he will be getting regular rotation minutes...

Hard to see any significant upgrades out there that could help us. I like the team and hope that the chemistry remains sound and that our starters stay healthy. I think our bench would out do any bench in the NBA, which gives us a good chance at winning a lot of regular season games and prolong the legs of our veterans and minimize the risk of injury. Come playoff time, everyone is fresh, healthy and then its about keeping the best team on the court as the match-ups dictate.

This was tough, I was talking on the phone with a buddy about this very thing, that we are a bit like Portland a couple of seasons ago where they had almost too much talent.

Gonna be interesting to see if Morey can flip some for upgrades in 2 for 1 type of deals, and also whether Adelman can keep them all happy and engaged.

Some veterans may find themselves completely out of the rotation, like Chuck Hayes etc...

A good problem to have if you ask me.

    Let me clarify.

Hard to see any significant upgrades out there that are available that could help us.

I don't like Jefferson over Scola.

Lets goto war with these players, good combination of vets and younger sprightly guys
