http://www.astroworldauction.com/ DATE January 6-8, 2006 TIME 9AM Start Fri & Sat, 11AM Start Sun PLACE SIX FLAGS ASTROWORLD 9001 KIRBY DRIVE HOUSTON, TX 77054-2503
My uncle has a piece of the logo in the middle of the floor signed by the Dream... the b*stard! (my uncle, not the Dream). For some reason though I just don't see old and ragged white 2x4's going for much
Man, I gotta go and get me a piece of Houston history. Some cool ass collectible to hang on the wall would ROCK!
i want a piece of greezed lightening...that ride was the ****! i still can't believe they just closed the place down. i loved astroworld, it wasn't the prettiest place but damn there were a lot of good rides.
Anyone want to go halves on the dungeon drop? We'll put it downtown some place and charge 5 bucks a drop. Much better deal than the ferris wheel and those other attractions at the aquarium.
Don't worry. they thought of that: "Please note that all auction attendees must be at least 18 years old and must provide a valid ID at registration. No minors will be allowed."
Dungoon Drop and the other newer coasters aren't up for auction. It's only the old ones. Of the bunch, Greazed Lightning would definitely be the best.
My wife, obsessed with the fact that she may never be able to enjoy her all-time favorite ride since the closing of Astroworld, finally located it: http://www.joylandpark.com/home.html Greezed Lightning Lives! Unfortunately, it will be living a pretty sad life in Lubbock (sorry Fatty). more pics and details: http://www.joylandpark.com/coaster.html
