even though unis aren't important, how many uniforms do they have this year???...it's pretty cool they have so many, i think they've worn four different unis already. ------------------

Uniform Breakdown
The Astros have 7 different jersey tops (including BP), 3 different hats (including BP), & 3 different pants. Batting Practice: Mesh Black Jersey w/ Brick Star (also worn during ST Games) Mesh Brick Jersey w/ Sand Star (I haven't seen this, but it was supposedly worn this weekend. Chronicle said this may become a new Uni for next year--- http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/bb/516293 ) For Both: Hat- Mesh Brick Hat w/ Sand Star & Black Bill Pants- Whatever they wear for the game. Home Game Uniforms Mon-Sat Nighttime White Pinstripe Jerseys w/ Astros on it. Pinstripe Pants. Black Hat. Mon-Sat Daytime Solid White Jersey w/ Brick Star. Plain White Pants. Brick Hat. Sunday & Holiday Black Jersey w/ Astros, in sand, on it. Plain White Pants. Black Hat. Road Game Uniforms Mon-Sat Grey Jersey w/ Houston, in Brick, on it. Grey Pants. Black Hat. Sundays & Holidays Black Jersey w/ Houston, in Sand, on it. Grey Pants. Black Hat. --------------- That All comes out to 2 different Batting Practice Unis, 3 different Home Unis, & 2 different Road Unis. Also the Brick Hat is only used w/ one set of jerseys, Mon-Sat Home Daytime. BTW, they only have one helmet, Black w/ Brick Star. Hopefully, they will keep this scheme for a few years and/or not change the team name. It would be a waste to throw these away after a few years of use. Drag.... I just saw the Red BP jersey on TV (Spires was wearing it) & Its Brick as noted, but it has the Cursive Astros on it in Sand. It looks very sharp and for the record I would not be offended if they added that to the plethora of uniforms the team already has. ------------------ visit my website @ http://home.icq.com/bayoucitybob/ Formerly Known as "Rob in Spring" [This message has been edited by Robert Snyder (edited April 10, 2000).]
