    1. Glenn Davis
    2. Art Howe (12)
    3. 23
    4. 63 G. Young
    5. Joe Niekro
    6. Bob Knepper
    7. Padres
    8. Charlie Kerfeld (14)
    9. Orlando Merced
    10. Dierker

Just total guesses. I'd be happy with 1 right answer. I know Knepper couldn't hit, but I remember vividly one that he jacked into the facade in about 1983.

I think #1 is Hidalgo against the Dodgers. Orel hit him twice and then a reliever hit him.

Dick (Turk) Farrell lost 20 games. You have to be a pretty good pitcher to lose 20 :).

Dave Giusti holds the HR record for pitchers with 3. Anyone who knows that should be ashamed. :D

Shane hit 2 in '96. Timing got it. Dave Giusti hit 3 in '67.

I seem to remember Portugal winning a flock of games in a row (11-12?) so I'll go with him.

Since I struck out on Gross, I''ll take a stab with Cliff Johnson. If it's not Johnson, is it somebody obscure like Bob Gallagher?

Great job bobrek!!! Mark Portugal won 12 games in a row in 1993, as he went 18-4 for the season.

    Not Cliff Johnson.

I'll give you a clue, he played most of his career with the Mets (was on the Amazin Met team of '69) He set the record in 1976 with the Astros with 20 pinch hits.

Then I would have to go with Tommie Agee. (he's my last guess before I start looking things up!)
