So...I am going to the Rays-Yankees game tomorrow to cheer on the Rays. I was buying 2 tickets through their website. There was a section with a row that had 3 consecutive seats available. I chose 2 of them and clicked confirm. Their website would not let me buy them because it would leave a "stranded" seat. Does the Astros site do the same?

The same issue will happen when buying online for most sporting events, concerts, and at movie theaters. To maximize sales, a lot of these online systems prevent leaving a seat between you and the people next to you, or a "stranded" seat. If you want to get around the problem, duplicate your current page or open a new tab. Put the stranded seat in your cart but don't buy the ticket. When you go the buy your actual tickets, you will trick the system into thinking that there are no seats stranded.
