OK, you have to download Tim McGraw's "Unbroken" song, but I changed the lyrics a tad... Unbroken As soon as Beltran bolted I didn't love you, oh not at all we knew Pettitte was back, but it was bits and pieces Of a jaded heart Then you beat the Braves and every piece went back in place, every pain got erased You held me up to the light Now it feels like! I'm totally lost! I'm going insane! With Pettitte, Oswalt and Clemens! Biggio's at the bat, and it's outta the Park! World Series! and my heart's unbroken When I see the ball fly right outta here I'm unbroken! If I doubted the power of love, baby now I understand I thank God for every day I wake up to the fact that #3 Is not in Munro's hands We've got a monster year from Ensberg and all of those little rookies We will light up the night It feels like I'm totally lost! I'm going insane! With Pettitte, Oswalt and Clemens! Biggio's at the bat, and it's outta the Park! World Series! and my heart's unbroken When I see the ball fly right outta here I'm unbroken! With our Killer Bees, I fell to my knees And when we hit a Grand Slam it felt like the first time! I'm totally lost! I'm going insane! With Pettitte, Oswalt and Clemens! Biggio's at the bat, and it's outta the Park! World Series! and my heart's unbroken When I see the ball fly right outta here I'm unbroken! I'm unbroken! oh yeah I'm unbroken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm totally lost! I'm going insane! With Pettitte, Oswalt and Clemens! Biggio's at the bat, and it's outta the Park! World Series! and my heart's unbroken I'm totally lost! I'm going insane! With Pettitte, Oswalt and Clemens! Biggio's at the bat, and it's outta the Park! World Series! and my heart's unbroken
Seriously, I just wrote these lyrics. I think it would be awesome if anyone would like to help me input something about all of our heartbreaks. ie: 80, 86, 97, 98, 99, etc. For some reason, the song "Unbroken" seems appropriate. BTW, we will win the World Series this year.
If it doesn't contain the phrase "kick the mother****ing **** out of the mother****ing cards", preferably in the chorus, it ain't good enough.
On a more pressing note (no pun intended).......what is the song artist and title that they play when Brad Lidge comes to the mound out of the bull pen?
I'm totally lost! I'm going insane! With Pettitte, Oswalt and Clemens! We're gonna beat the **** out of the f***ing Cards! World Series! and my heart's unbroken There. I fixed it.
Ok this is just flat out weird. I was actually going to start a thread about this yesterday after it happened but never got around to it. I had the sound on the TV on mute and the Internet radio station (RTN, on Winamp) blasting out of my speakers. Right before Asmus came to bat the song "Dreams" (Van Halen) came on. As Asmus swung and hit one of the most beautiful HR's I have ever seen, Sammy Hagar was singing: "Reach for the Golden Ring, Reach for the Sky, We'll get higher and higher, straight up we'll climb" The words captured the moment to perfection. Everytime I hear this song from now on, I will have that HR replayed in my mind. "Dreams"- Van Halen World turns black and white Pictures in an empty room Your love starts fallin down Better change your tune Reach for the golden ring Reach for the sky Baby just spread your wings Chorus: We’ll get higher and higher straight up we’ll climb We’ll get higher and higher leave it all behind Run, run, run, away Like a train runnin off the track The truth gets left behind And falls between the cracks Standing on broken dreams But never losing sight Spread your wings Chorus So baby dry your eyes, save all the tears you’ve cried Ohh that’s what dreams are made of Oh baby we belong in a world that must be strong Ohh that’s what dreams are made of Solo Chorus Higher and higher who knows what we’ll find And in the end on dreams we will depend Cause thats what love is made of
You know what they should play every time Chris Burke comes to the plate now: Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter
For those that like hip-hop, I heard a remix of Chamillionaire's "Turn it up" hit, with an Astors theme. It was awesome, I hope the right people in the Astros organization hear it and make it the playoff theme from here on through. I'm pretty sure it will only be playing 104.9 (which is the station I heard it on this morning) and 97.9. Maybe 104.1 will pick it up, but they haven't been playing the original version by Koopa. So listen for it, it is well worth it. Dike Jones SUX!!!
BTW, Paul Wall (The People's Champ) did a remix for the Astros as well, and it's pretty good. Here it is: http://s58.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=20C2KHL51IUO00ZGZTGB7V3TBB Notice no one cares enough about the Sox to make a song about them
