Sorry this is late. All game talk goes in here. Please do not give play by play. If you need play by play go to CBS, ESPN, or Yahoo. Pitching Proabables: 5-21 Ezequiel Astacio (0-2, 6.88) vs. Chris Young (3-2, 3.18) 3:05 on FOX 5-22 Roy Oswalt (5-4, 3.50) vs. Chan Ho Park (3-1, 5.32) 1:05 on FSSW
Todd Self looks like he knows what he is doing. He has a great eye and swings at strike not like Jason Lane. He better start at first or the outfield the rest of the year because its obvious the Astros won't make the playoffs. It's not like he is young, he's 26.
God the other announcer with JD is annoying to listen to...he has a lisp and it's really really annoying....
Astacio is bad luck. He's starting to remind me of Redding. All he needs to do is talk some more smack now.
Zeke should go to pen because he looked filthy out there on Wednesday. He hit 96 on the rader gun. He is really a two-pitch pitcher and he thats better suited for the pen.
The next guy who will get his chance to be the fifth starter will be Wandy Rodriguez. After he struggles, it will be Jared Gothreaux.
I think we can safely say this game is over and its only the 2nd inning. 8-0 Way to give our team a chance to win, Astacio! I haven't seen someone get this shelled since WWII...or should I say since Oswalt. Yet another embarassing performance. Maybe we can top it by getting shut-out. This is the worst I can ever remember the Astros since 1976.
I was looking at some of the Astros top prospects in the minor leagues at damn they are old. They are mostly 25 and 26 year olds. Other teams prospects are like 21 and 22 years old. I wonder why the Astros move their players so slowly.
Yep. He just doesn't have enough good pitches to be a starter. He definitely looks like a reliever. This game reminds me of a little league game with an all-star team vs a bunch of first year kids. Just brutal...6 homers in 2 innings by the Rangers
I predict the following Astros will get traded this year with their possible new teams. Roger Clemens- Yankees Craig Biggio-Yankess, Red Sox, or Twins John Franco-Angles, Rangers, White Sox Orlando Palmerio-O's, Mets, Braves Russ Springer-Rangers, Braves, Diamondbacks Jose Vizcanio-Yankees, Braves, White Sox These player all on their last year of their contracts and could help a playoff contender. Maybe the Astros could get like 10 solid players for their minor league system which is pretty bad.
If they Astros continue to lose, they may have a chance at the Woodlands phenom Kyle Drabek, son of former Astro and Cy Young awarding pitcher Doug Drabek, in the 2006 MLB Draft. He is a shortstop and pitcher but has said he will be a shortstop and the next level even though he has 90 MPH plus fastball. He also is a good Wide Reciever but and has said he will quit that after his senior next year.
