im tired of watching a boring and unproductive offense. if we really want to compete and are serious about getting to the WS again, we need another bat in the lineup.

    any suggestions?? i want soriano.

We need Ensberg and Berkman to start hitting like they should. We need bullpen relief. We need consistent starting pitching.

If it's not one thing, it's the other with the Astros the last month or so.

Another right handed hitter, high K numbers, poor attitude, no thanks.

If anything, a left handed power hitter at corner outfield. I like Aubrey Huff.

^^at this point Todd Helton would not be an upgrade to the offense. His numbers have been pretty bad so far this year.

    Absolutely.

Berkman and Hirsh should get it done. Would you pull the trigger?

well he's a veteran who has always been a good hitter. we could use that on this team. he could be our larry walker to the cardinals 2 years back.

unfortunately he has not been the same player over the last couple of years and makes something like 12 or 14 mil a year.

We already have a former Rockies player who's sucking it up outside of Coors.

Everything on the farm for Miguel Cabrera. (probably even have to give the farm itself)

Both of those guys aren't major leagers but I'm sure they could do better then Lane is right now. Scott can't hit a big league curve ball, and a lineup with Jimmerson and Wilson scares the crap out of me. There will be some serious strikeout records being broke with Jimmerson and Wilson out there.

This team needs to look to acquire an outfielder from another team. Include Tavaras + some minor league pitching for a proven outfielder with some pop. Move Burke into CF to take Tavaras's place.

The real question is does Purpura have the balls to ever make a trade?

I am a fan of both Luke Scott and Charlton Jimerson. I think Scott could hit 25 plus homers in the big leagues if given a chance. I know he was given a chance last year but he had no experience in AAA. When he was recalled toward the end of the year last year, he looked like he belongs. Jimerson will strikeout a lot but he brings power and speed to this team. Taveras has no power and he doesn't know how to use his speed. Jimerson will play solid defense and could hit some HR's at MMP.

I'm a big Jimerson fan. However, the fact that he's struck out over 80 times already is a huge minus. What would that number be in the majors? He is certainly improving and will most likely get a shot this season. I think Scott is the first call up should an OF go down (or hopefully get released in Jason Lane's case).

I would like to see a trade soon. Sitting pat worked well last season. Unfortunately, this isn't last season. I just don't want to see us sell the future away. Hirsch, Patton, Pence, and Burke at least should be considered off limits, IMO.
