WOW..what an offseason this has become!!!
The stove is really HOT in H-Town isn't!!

    These moves are awesome...stupendous...incredible!!!!

They let Clemens get away. Probably a good move IF HE RETIRES!!!!!

They re-sign Ausmus and give him a helluva raise...based on what??
What did he do??...GET BETTER??? NO!!! He's a weak bat and a weak defensive catcher. I guess he's back in hope of Clemens coming back....who isn't.

They sign BIG BATS in Lamp and Palmerio!!! YIPEE!!!!

They Buy Oswalk a Tracker!!! REAL IMPORTANT STUFF!!!

They FIRE Ashby...a pretty good color guy with playing experience...and og BTW an ex-Astro. Makes NO sense at all. Maybe he was too expensive for Uncle Dryaton.

They don't fire Milo...who is an old decrepid goat prick. He stinks and I can't stand 30 second delays in play-by-play and NO freaking score updates!!
    LEAVE MILO!!!!

These are what I can think of offhand.....OHHH they re-sign Raul Chavez (who they released last season and then signed again and again).

What a PATHETIC OFFSEASON this has been so far. Typical Astros I guess!!!

Ashby supposedly tried out to take Milo's PBP role. The team didn't think he was the best choice, and they didn't think he would accept playing second fiddle to the new PBP guy. Thus he is no more.

    Please lay off the exclamations.

Ausmus is one of the best defensive catchers in the game, and manages a pitcher better than most (if not all) catchers in the game. Look at his hitting numbers from July on, and he's not bad at the plate.

Palmiero is probably the best contact hitter this team has, minus Berkman. You have to sign Lamb back in case Bagwell doesn't get back. Neither of these guys were that expensive anyway.

I'm not sure about bringing Chavez back though. I really don't see how he is in the big leagues.

wow the Cubs added Jacque Jones along with Juan Pierre, and Damon goes to the Yankees too. Kobe goes for 62 in 3 quarters and The Astros still have not done nothing. What a day in sports!

Sometimes not doing anything is the best move. If everyone is wanting to make a trade then lets trade Roy Oswalt. Matter of fact lets put Berkman and Lidge in there to spice up the deal. Who do we want with those 3? Lets go after a good Philly outfielder. Pat Burrell sounds nice. Maybe we can con them into throwing Jon Lieber in there for us. We'll throw in Patton and Hence for him. Yeah Yeah... Lets make a trade.
Please guys. The only big thing that has changed from last year is losing Clemens. He didn't get run support from this team in most of his starts. I'm not going to say someone else can come in and do his job because that would be insane. We didn't do anything big last year and just about everyone whined, cried, complained, moaned....or whatever else they did. That team went to the World Series with several players that have never been in the playoffs. Now we have a fairly young team with playoff experience and not many teams can say that.

How did they do that?!?!?!? The off-season is over already!!! It is entirely impossible for a team to improve themselves after the 15th of December, don't the Cubs and Yankees know this?!?!?!?!?
