    Moore hired by Rangers
Nice. All levity aside, I have no idea how well Romero did as a 3B coach; I just remember a couple of "WTF???" plays.

They also brought up Dave Clark from RR to be the new bench coach....he did a good job at RR.

It was Bourn... cost us the chance to tie up a game that final week of the season.

I vaguely recall a couple others, but that was the main one on my mind. At the time, I wasn't laughing.

Clark will be the 3rd base coach. Romero was moved to bench coach.

That's debatable since they had the worst record in team history. Then again, I think he had to deal with an organizational record number of transactions and a pitching staff that was horrid.

Romero is a lazy bum. He was just going through the motions. I swear I could almost see him at times looking in the crowd at fans eating hot dogs and drinking beer, wishing he could be with them.

The talent that they had to work with at AAA was pathetic. It may have been the least talented AAA team in all of baseball. I is it really fair to blame him for that?

Not entirely. I went to a lot of RR games this past year. He had some questionable moves, but he didn't have much to work with. JR House at catcher is as bad defensively as if they would have put the tv character "House" at catcher.

I think it is crazy that Romero essentially received a promotion after being a terrible 3rd base coach. Some of the decisions he made were just mind boggling.
