So I've been trying like crazy to get tickets to game 1 in Chicago for less than $600 but have been unsuccesful as of yet. I'm in Iowa City (about 4.5 hours away) and am thinking about just driving down tomorrow and trying to get tickets at the game. If I go, though, and can't get tickets, I need a fallback plan, hopefully a decent sports bar. So, anyone on here (I'm looking at you RM95 and keeley) familiar with Chitown and/or in Chitown right now able to give recommendations if I can't get tickets?
keeley or KellyDwyer would be better to talk to about that. My parents lived out in the suburbs (ugh, it just hit me they don't live there anymore. ), so I'd normally be out there. Whenever I was in the city, the places I'd go to with my friends a) weren't really sports bars and b) I can't remember their names.
My girlfriend who goes to Notre Dame is going to try and score some tickets in Chicago (only like 80 miles from South Bend)... she knows a bunch of rich kids, hopefully she's successful
